Wow! Obama Has Done A Lot Of Great Things So Far!

These are just some of the great things he has done..

No wonder his approval rating is up to 53%...

If he can just get those nasty Republicans on board, we can turn this country around in about 18 months...

I am starting to think that the people that bash Obama here are just doing it because they are racists and can't stand the fact that an African Negro is doing such a fine job running the show.. :2 cents:

RECOVERY ACT
The Recovery Act has saved or created as many as 3.3 million jobs; boosted the American economy, increasing GDP by as much as 4.5 percent in the 2nd quarter of 2010; and provided tax credits to 95 percent of working families.

AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
The President enacted the Affordable Care Act, which provides stability and security to Americans who have insurance and provides affordable options for those who don?t; lowers costs for families, businesses, and our country as a whole; provides the largest middle class tax cut for health care in our history; and prevents insurance industry abuses and denial of care.

WALL STREET REFORM
President Obama enacted strong Wall Street reform. As a result of reform, Americans will have the information needed to make the best financial choices for their families; companies won?t be able to take advantage of consumers with predatory practices; unexpected overdraft fees on checking accounts and unfair increases to credit card rates will be banned; and the era of taxpayer-financed bailouts for Wall Street banks is over.

ENDING COMBAT OPERATIONS IN IRAQ
President Obama has ended our combat mission in Iraq and removed nearly 100,000 troops so that we can focus on fighting al Qaeda and rebuilding our nation at home.

NUCLEAR ARMS CONTROL
The President reached the most important arms control agreement with Russia in two decades. New START will reduce our nuclear arsenals and put inspectors on the ground in Russia and renews America?s leadership in pursuit of a world without nuclear weapons. President Obama also rallied the world behind a plan to secure all nuclear material from terrorists within four years, fulfilling a key campaign promise.

MIDDLE CLASS TAX CUTS
President Obama secured a bipartisan agreement extending critical tax cuts for middle class families, helping those families to make ends meet and boosting economic recovery.

CREDIT CARD REFORM
The President signed bipartisan comprehensive credit card reform into law with the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act (CARD), which stops unfair credit card practices.

FAIR PAY FOR WOMEN
The President signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, ensuring equal pay for equal work.

REFORMING STUDENT LENDING
The President enacted the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act (SAFRA), which increases federal Pell Grants and loans; makes investments in community colleges, Historically Black Colleges, and other Minority Serving Institutions; and caps student loan payments in keeping with graduates? incomes.

REPEALING DON?T ASK, DON?T TELL
The President has repealed ?Don?t Ask, Don?t Tell,? enabling individuals to serve in the American military regardless of their sexual orientation.

I think this is going to be a very long and contentious thread.

I am very harsh on his obamaness and it has nothing to do with his race, it has to do with him missing a pair of testicles

there is no reason for that..

people just need to accept the fact that he is getting the job done and they just need to step out of the way so he can get this country back on track... :thumbsup

honestly I cannot tell if you are joking or not. But I started off really liking Obama and thought he would turn things around. I have lost all faith in him now and could not care less if he is re-elected or not

I really did not like what Bush did but I will give him credit for having a united front. The republicans always seen to be in lock step with the party line and they got things done quickly with very little fuss.... even if what they did I hated, they at least worked like a well oiled machine

I don't judge a man by the color of his skin but rather how well his eyes glow in the dark;)

Really, if people don't believe the racist angle is true just ask my white democrat mother who told me before the election "I don't think I want a black president" :1orglaugh

then ask her racist old twat of a husband who would say "pretty soon the blacks (using a kind word there) will run everything."

of course thats what all of these dimwits said about the jews, hispanics etc.

so yes, that :2 cents:

Considering the absolute disaster he inherited from the dimwit he's doing a pretty fair job.

However i think his mandatory health care deal sucks and the bush tax extensions were a bad move.

That being said if he stays the course i think he will get another 4 years.

It's not about what Obama did for the majority, it's about how many billions the wealthy get. And IMO they need more, screw the middle class. Also since I am a landowner all you non landowners are now my slaves.

3.Leverage, Capital, and Reserves

How has it worked out?

Not so well. George Mason University Law Professor Todd Zywicki points out that the new restrictions hurt more consumers than they help.

Since the Card Act passed, mortgage and Treasury bill rates have dropped a little, but credit card interest went up -- from 13 percent to nearly 15 percent. Some banks also stopped offering credit to some people. JPMorgan Chase cut off 15 percent of its customers.

So the real result of this "consumer" regulation? "Hundreds of thousands of people can't get cards who used to be able to have cards, and all the rest of us now have to pay more," Zywicki said.

But maybe the people who can't get credit cards are better off because they couldn't handle credit wisely?

"Just to say they don't have a credit card doesn't mean that they don't have credit," Zywicki retorts. "They'll just go to more expensive places -- the local payday lender or the local pawn shop."

Did you even read the first post?

Compare that to what George W Bush accomplished during the 8 YEARS he was in power...

If you really think like that, you should maybe take the time to read about the issues and see what both parties are doing, to make an informed decision and vote.

I sincerely hope Obama wins again in 2012. You just know that Palin is about to announce her run for president any day, even if the GOP doesn't want her, and that psycho just may win.

When Barack Obama sought the presidency, he pledged to reverse the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy preventing gays and lesbians from serving openly in the U.S. military. Yet on Monday, the Supreme Court rejected a gay Ohio soldier's challenge to the law ? with the legal backing of none other than the Obama Administration

Another Canadian that has his head so far up Obamas ass that you can compare him to Washington?

Barry is working on sinking the economy deeper in debt and that will not help the unemployment numbers, unless he can get the numbers less than 6.5%, a true 6.5%, then he doesn't stand a chance of reelection
