Yeah, seems crazy to give your kid hard liquor but believe it or not it helps.

My boy had a bad case of it when he was 2. Had to spend one night at the children's hospital with him.

It has been years and years, but it seemed like taking the kid to the bathroom and running hot water and filling the room with steam was helpful. I am sure there may be better treatments these days.

Yeah my son had it once or twice. we put him on Ketotifen and its gone in a couple days.

My boy used to get it quite often, I had to make a few midnight drives to the hospital because his breathing had got so bad.

The last night I went to the hospital the Doctor told me, "John before it gets this bad, as he starts acting up at night, wrap him up a warm blanket and have him stick his head out an open window for some cool fresh air".

I did from then on and I never brought him back to the hospital since, that cold air, or cool air from the window would supress any cough and losen up his throat. Try it out.

Yeah, dealt with it when my kid was under 1, took him to the doctor right away.

I had it when I was 6 or 7. Couldn't breathe. Was taken outside and the cool air helped big time. I think I was in the hospital for 3 days or so.

Just got back from the doctors - she has to take a nebulizer treatment twice a day and as soon as she acts up .. as stated by a bunch of you .. open up some windows .. get some fresh hair .. keep her body warm and keep her as calm as possible

The dr just found it strange she has never had an issue and now at 6 she pops up with it

My son dealt with this for about the first 4 years of his life. We would be at the hospital once every 2 weeks.

Things that worked: Bathroom with steam
Fresh air

Both had it. Never went to a doctor or hospital over it though.

My 2 year old has had it twice over the past month. Each time the doctor gave some kind of steroid shot that helped.
