Which web browsers do you use and why?

Which internet browsers (and which versions) do you use and why these ones?

alias 03-12-2011 06:23 PM

Chrome primarily, newest version. Loads fast and runs clean.

candyflip 03-12-2011 06:27 PM

Chrome on my desktops/laptops.

Firefox on my Android phone, mostly because like the UI. It's very large and still has some bugs that need to be ironed out.

mafia_man 03-12-2011 06:30 PM

Chrome because the Gmail and Google Reader extensions are great. On Firefox they're shite since someone abandoned maintenance on the good ones.

Firefox is still better for web development though.

loreen 03-12-2011 07:23 PM

Mozilla, Chrome and IE in this order.

fris 03-12-2011 07:26 PM

i used to be straight up internet explorer, and only used chrome, firefox, and safari for testing compatability, but i recently switched full time to chrome, so much happier now.

now i only use ie when i abs have too, and firefox only really for testing.

cooldude7 03-12-2011 07:26 PM

I use Netscape because I'm old skool

blogman9 03-13-2011 02:30 AM

Chrome: 10.0.648.133

vdbucks 03-13-2011 02:39 AM

ff primarily though I'm trying to use chrome more as ff really starts to drag ass after a while.

I use chrome, IE6/8, Safari, Epiphany and Opera for testing

Xer0 03-13-2011 02:43 AM

I have to use all of the following for work.

Firefox 3/4 - PC/MAC
IE 6-9 - PC
Safari - PC/MAC/iOS
Chrome - PC
Opera - PC

Barry-xlovecam 03-13-2011 04:19 AM

Firefox
Seamonkey
Opera

I'm using LINUX Ubuntu 10.04 X86_64 for a desktop these days;

My Google-Chrome has a "fatal error"

When I get done on the re-constrution of this house and the dust settles I have all the parts for another PC. Will be a dual boot. I bought a WIN7 64 CD. So, IE 7,8,9 ?

seeandsee 03-13-2011 04:25 AM

All 4 => f.f , chrome, opera, ie in this order, mainly all 4 for testing

Roald 03-13-2011 04:33 AM

Same here, for the same reasons.
:thumbsup

I still will occasionally use the I.E./FF/Opera for different things on occasion however.

DangerX !!! 03-13-2011 09:51 AM

IE6, Opera9, FF2, SeaMonkey2.0.12 and latest release of Chromium, because I'm a webmaster.

woj 03-13-2011 09:54 AM

FF... chrome is probably actually better, but don't want google recording everything I do online...

Did you know that Mozilla foundation is located in Mountain View? And that they have window with a view on GooglePlex? And that main Mozilla sponsor is ...Google? :)

Hmm... you could always build your own version of Chromium which is where the Chrome comes for... that's an opensource sponsored by Google... but it's a bit techie stuff.
