Milk Shortage wtf
 

Never thought there'd be a milk shortage. Was informed today from a USA supplier that there is. Wonder if this has to do with China? Anyone from the states notice a price increase in milk or related products?

I thought this would have somehting to do with radiation --> most of the local pharmacies ran out of iodium after the first explosion.

China imports a lot of dairy products.

this happened last time gas prices got to $4 share. I noticed ice cream was more expensive today.

Relative to gas because of trucking the milk to the stores id imagine

I got my milk for $1.99 a gallon at ALDI.

I like that store for some, certain things, like my Milk and eggs, but some of the other shit there isn't very good.

I've also learned that ALDI milk comes from Dairymens factories. Seen a truck unloading at the store in town a week ago.

That $1.99 beats the hell out of the same milk at Walmart for $3.84

Got a gallon last night for $1.89, but I'm in the east of the US where nobody is panicing about radioactive cows for the time being. There were no empty milk shelves that I noticed.

I think places where gas is the most expensive will see some slowing of restocking at the grocery store or prices rising to cover costs.

hmm, just a couple days ago, i bought a gallon of borden from the corner store. when i got it home, it had obviously been spoiled for days already, and when i went to check the date, i found that there WAS no date. when i returned it to the store, they said i was the 4th person in that day with the same issue.

think this is related to the shortage?

can't drink milk since i tried to drink a gallon of it and vomited everywhere :(

That puss-filled pasteurized homogenized crap 99% of you drink is not even milk. You would be better off just drinking pure water. Drink raw milk. Make friends with a farmer who feeds their goats/cows grass instead of that toxic nasty commercial feed. Problem solved. You are welcome.

Has to do more with the cost of Delivery than anything.
