You're not missing anything. Just a very nasily 13 year old with a ton of auto tune on top singing a song that might have been written by Barney the dinosaur.

There is something different about how everyone sings and screams. It's a different pitch. One voice can appear more annoying than the other. I suppose a voice can improve with singing classes or something. Different genres of music have different kinds of voices.
