Is he making any more movies?

I was just watching Independence Day a couple of nights ago and was thinking its time for another summer blockbuster. I think the last movie he made was Hancock.

I heard he was doing Men In Black 3 but then I heard it was on hold.

Whats the scoop? I know someone here has to know.

As he's gotten older I've liked his acting more.... My kids love MiB, then they go kill aliens every time they finishing watching it, all afternoon.

he reminds me of cary grant, in the way you can put him in any film and its great.

i still love to see old fresh prince of bell air.

and summer is not summer without having 'summertime' played.

but to me he is old holywood, if you get me.

i even enjoyed that romanic comerdy he did. which i did not think i would.

Will Smith was ok in independance day. Men in black was a fun movie, but 2 sequels? 1 was too many.

He has a couple bad movies but in general I really enjoy most of his stuff. You really have to admire all that he's been able to do.

Independence day is knocking on the same door with I am Legend in the same race followed closely by I-Robot too. All seriously garbage in/garbage out type movies.

LOL I could see that in Australia, but it's pretty popular here in the United States. It's on TV a lot and most people I know and enjoy it to some extent. I love it!

I can see why Americans love it (the whole we are awesome and save the world BS), but it really isn't a good movie - acting and lines are gag material. However horses for courses.

All through I-robot I kept thinking that he really didn't want to be in it. Just got that vibe thru his acting, like his heart just wasn't in it.

Every movie he ever did was a blockbuster. He is like 10/10 for hitting home runs, best track record of any actor in Hollywood. Also seems like a real nice guy and talented singer. Don't know how anyone could think he is over rated.

I think Will Smith is a talented dude.He puts in the work.I don't think he is more or less talented than previous actors.I think that he got in where he fit in.There is a time for everything and that was his time.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone wondering when the next Will Smith movie will come out. You've really set the bar high.

he has bunch of upcoming movies with him, i love all his movies but the pursuit of happiness is amazing and touchy movie.

No, but everyone has different opinions. I think the box office sales is the best way to judge the over all success of a movie. :2 cents:

A really good but overlooked movie of his is HANDCOCK. If you haven't seen it, ignore the critics and watch it. Excellent movie.

I also heard he's remaking one of my favorite 60's Sci-Fi movies, "COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT". This movie, about a computer that takes over the world, thrilled the heck out of me as a kid and is what got me started. Check it out.

All shit too, except bad Boys, I'd be interested in seeing another Bad Boys.

Can't wait for some of those titles! He seems damn busy and that's good since he does entertaining movies.

Seriously though, Bad Boys 2 is one of my all time favorite movies.

He seems to be pretty busy :)

Not my favourite, but it is really good. The slow-motion ending in the mine field was cool as hell.

The dual-circulating camera moves during the gun fight inside the house was also really cool.



Oh and lets not forget the car chase(s)

You guys are critiquing him like he's the director of some of the mediocre movies he's been in. He didn't write the movies. Whatever role he plays he does it right.

Go watch 7 pounds or Enemy of the State. Ask yourself this, the movies of his you thought were mediocre at best, do you think they would've been any better if someone else played Will Smith's role? Likely not. :thumbsup
