Non-americans: When will you stop dealing with USD?

How low will you let the dollar drop before you start focusing on making money from other stuff than USA and the USD?

I've already started with Swedish websites and things look good so far but I still work with American sponsors. 1 USD is now worth 6.3 SEK. It used to be 10 SEK.
I think I'll continue to work with the dollar until it's worth less than 5 SEK, then it wont be worth the effort anymore.

What about you?

As soon as euro programs translate their webmaster sites into english.

if i only could...

What am I supposed to charge in? The EUR is about as stable as the USD, so that's no help. What, charge in Thai baht?

"How much for a license?"

"Only 12,000 baht"

"What?!?!? 12,000?!?"

Wouldn't work.

The dollar will rebound, man. Even if all of the US' industry/services dried up tomorrow (not gonna happen), its CAPITAL MARKETS alone will persist for generations. Similar to England. British industry has mostly dried up... but its capital markets are keeping the economy up.

the USD will rebound, if u look at historical charts it always goes up and down

Since 2004 we have charged our customers in ? ((Euros) (or the equivalent bank exchange rate of their Local Currency)).

I have also seen the $USD and ? move quite a bit. Right now, the Euro is at almost $1.41. There is always a peak of interest in Affiliate Programs that pay in Euros when the exchange rate becomes favorable ? the same interest wanes as the $USD rises ...

If you want your revshare based on the Euro price ? you are welcome to become our Affiliate. I see this as an added benefit to a Solid Cam Affiliate Program. However, I don't see our payment in Euros as our best benefit.

I remember 10 years ago $1 USD was $2 AUD , now it's less than $1 AUD.

I want those days of 10 years ago back... NOW!

Saying it will rebound is like saying we will go back to the moon. Sure it will, but WHEN!?!

I deal with all money, and USD doesn't seem to be worse than any other, what really matters to me is how much do they give... all in all only gold is real money.

Just kidding man, just kidding, I know it's fucked up. It hurts me as well as most of my profits comes from US affiliate market... but what can we do about it? Imo it's batter to laugh than cry.

USD to PHP is not changing currency still the same 1:43 but way back 2008 to 2009 should be 1:50 but its fine for 1:43.

izzynew 03-27-2011 09:49 PM

Most of my sponsors payout only in USD so I have little choice. But I have been looking for more sponsors who payout in Euros or pay via paxum or paypal, because my bank is threatening to charge me double what they charge now for each USD cheque I cash with them, owing to the poor state of the dollar.

Exactly. I'm in the same boat. EUR and USD both fly up and down, and ultiamtely the customer is gonna look at how much something costs in his own currency. I simple quote in EUR for most european customers, and in USD for american ones.
