How Many of you are looking at your sites for your retirement?
I think this would be the epitome of the long term model. But as we all know, us thirtysomethings here will have no social security to fall back on when we reach 60,
so do you believe in your concepts or your products enough to bank on that shit for retirement? |
We were able to retire and sit back because we never sold our content outright.
The five sites we have still bring in an income nearly 3 years now after we had our double whammy. I doubt if they will go on for much more than another 3 years, but it's all been profit except for hosting and affiliates. We had all the major bills paid, house and car, no debts and some money and pensions coming in. I kicked Eva out of the house and made her find a job. Having her hanging around all day bored and pestering me was too much. She hated retirement. Now all I have to do is listen to what happened at work everyday. :1orglaugh Glad we were in it during the good years and got out fairly comfortably. Damian is right the special offers still sell. |
Absolutely. That's the big plus about this biz imo.

I'm keeping all my great domains until retirement...
|
right on! Keep your stories coming! :)
|
sure, why not... am building up the sites portfolio to be able to sit back and enjoy retirement with minimum work for maximum payout.
