Vince McMahon aims to take the "wrestling" of WWE

If you're the type who actually cries during wrestling matches cuz your hero is getting a wedgy or know someone that does, you might want to know that veteran wrestling head man Vince McMahon is looking to take the "wrestling" out of WWE

wwe stopped doing real (as in stunt work based wrestling) when owen hart died. And with their expansion into movie production it only makes sense that they do the same thing as marvel and turn themselves into a liciencing company instead.

The headline relates to the change of the name from World Wrestling Entertainment to WWE.

Good move. The man has VISION. WWF is really just 3dimensional cartoon entertainment. Marvel was a 2D cartoon company.

i agree that it a good move

however i don't agree it means he has vision

looking around to see what other companies that went bankrupt did to get out of and then just copying that is not innovative or visionary.

Especially when you realize that WWF lost a trademark dispute with marvel because of "hulk" hogan rocking wrestling cartoon show.

there was no footage of the fall because the cameramen where focused on the ring /entrance

basically owen hart (the blue blazer at the time) was certified to do the zip line to the ring unobstructed (without his costume).

when he did the show, he was in a full costume (including a cape) which got snagged on the ziipline and he basically got pulled from the harness and fell to this death.

the hart family sued and won a wrongful death suit against the wwe.

and the wwe stopped doing all stunts that need to be cleared by the stuntman union.

I have a friend who wrestles for WWE on a developmental contract. He's one of the guys who gets his ass smeared by the big boys in the early matches.

I've been backstage to a few of the WWE events and hung out with all of them before, during and after the show. Regardless of the match being planned in terms of who will win and some basic moves, those guys take a serious fucking beating. Some of those hits, kicks and falls are seriously hard, and that mat they hit is hard as hell. The ropes are also hard. A lot of injuries, still.

Shouldn't you be talking about how you are going to take their movies and trademarks
and time-shift them in a cloud for free?

Yeah, i'd still have thought they'd have had a camera on him coming in though. They obviously knew that was his entrance, and when he was making it. Plus they put the effort (or lack of) into doing that kind of entrance so i'd have thought they'd have made sure they got it on cam.

Didn't he land on the turnbuckle, and that's what killed him?

Sounds like a hard gig. Literally a school of hard knocks before a wrestler gets his brand established.

I love the risks this guy takes. Remember the XFL? The guy started his own football league and went head to head with the NFL. The NFL! He ultimately failed and lost a ton of money, but he certainly has no lack of vision or balls.

Vince McMahon is somebody would not be missed if he died. By anybody. Not even the people that know him. He is a loser.

Carry on about your day.

It is. What a lot of people don't realize is, these guys really pay their dues before they even come close to stepping up to the WWE. They do small shows all around the country, usually in high school gyms, country fairs, public halls and other shitty places. And there are no real rules here in terms of what stunts you can and can not do. Some of them go all out just trying to build a name so they can step up to better gigs.
