Am I giving this cam sponsor a fair test?

Started promoting a cams white label about 2-1/2 weeks ago on a domain that's fairly well-established. I chose to push this program because I personally liked the way the site's "sales proposition" to surfers was structured by the sponsor. If I were going to patronize a cams site, I could see buying into this... confident that I was getting a good bang for my buck. So, I was hopeful...

However, after delivering 600+ hits and exactly 100 "free registrations", I have not yet seen a "sale" on a "paid registration". The traffic I've sent is 98% SE through organic search. I was very pleased with the "free registration" (sign-up with a credit card that's not charged) ratio (1:60). But, surprised that not one out of a hundred free acounts has converted to a sale yet. Not sure how to troubleshoot this and wondering why people are giving up credit card info, but not pulling the trigger on buying some credits.

I'm about ready to drop this, and move on... would you consider this a fair test?

Let your test run till you hit 5,000 uniques, by then you should have at least 5 paying sales.

If not, or even if so, switch it to another cam program, let that one run for 5,000 uniques and compare your results.

There are enough programs out there, one of them should be able to convert your traffic.

I would.

Try something that has a straight PPS so you don't have to worry about them converting the user from a free registration.

Cam sites have slower conversions even if easy registrations 'cause you can't download the content for later - the content you like has to be logged in and ready to rock, and the wife/kids/in-laws gotta be outta the house... give it time...

:D

600 hits is not a large enough test of any type of traffic... And being "98% SE traffic" really doesn't make much of a difference anymore. Surfers find most their porn via SE's at one point or another.

It all depends how you send the traffic and how you pre-sell the product. IS there at least a splash page before the user gets to your WL explaining him what he is going to find and why he will be redirected to THAT particular platform ?
PRE-SELLING the product is probably the most important part of the work of an affiliate...
It's not just setting up a WL on a domain anymore...
This was enough a few years ago but it takes more than that to convert nowadays.

600 clicks is not a huge amount of traffic.
If you got 100 registration from these 600 clicks, it must be a "email, login, pass" registration. The most basic registration.
How many of these 100 registered users have gone through the process of registrering their credit card ?
That would be the most important figure to have.

Because your traffic is slow coming in not all in one burst the time it takes to get going will be longer.

This is the hard part about cam programs, you do have to pick one and stick with it and make it work.

I perfectly agree with this, any attempt to bust his traffic (SE traffic) will probably bring him sales.

I think this is a reasonable test ...
As far as switching around if the initial test is reasonably successful I wouldn't — I would run it out further and see how it develops.

Patience, and by the way 600 hits on cam sites is not a fair test.
Nowdays 1000+ is acceptable and 2000+ and still no paid registration means dump the program
