Adsense Does Not Show Relevant Results [PIC]
My ATI video card installed its own hi-def sound drivers, effectively killing my EMU0404 soundcard. My computer had no sound for a long time and I finally got tired of the silence.
Today I searched Google for a solution and found that a lot of other people have the same problem. Following their tips, I found a solution. Many hours later I checked a site of mine that I rarely update. Here's a screenshot of the site: http://www.garcemac.com/google-adwords.gif This site has nothing to do with sound - or the lack thereof - yet EVERY adsense ad on EVERY page that I looked at featured Adsense ads for audio drivers. Google just decided it was better for me to see ads for something I was searching for (and fixed) hours ago, than to show me ads relevant to the content of the site. Wow. |
It sucks that Adsense does not show relevant results. High quality sound is important.

Makes sense to me. How is google supposed to know you fixed it? It knows you were searching for the solution, so it showed you the ads. Someone else would have seen different ads...
I dont see the problem |
they do that sometimes, track what you search for, and then bombing you with such ads
|
You know you can tell adsense what text it should use to make the ads relevant?

Actually they've been doing that for a couple of years now.... There's blog posts going back to 2008 discussing the pro's and con's of the whole thing...

Looking at those three posts, no doubt it's confused as to what to pull.
I have a site that is very targeted, but it took a few weeks before google started pulling relevant ads. |
