Joan Irvine Washington DC May 13 2011

"U.S. House of Representatives awarded Ms. Irvine a Congressional Commendation plus she has been recognized by many Californian legislators and cities for her efforts on behalf of child protection."

People that work for porno companies get awards from House of Reps? And friends with Cali legislators. Really? Thats weird.

Ms. Irvine- “I felt it was important that someone who understands the industry, compliance, and legislation should help lead IFFOR and to also oversee the policy development process to assure that all interests are adequately represented as required under the IFFOR Charter."

Legislation? Policy development? Will they ever tell us what these policy's are? They want everyone to sign up blindly, pay thousands of dollars, yet avoids any answers pertaining to their business. Who does that? What are they planning for us?

The International Foundation for Online Responsibility Names Inaugural Executive Director

May 13, 2011

Washington, DC (May 3, 2011) The International Foundation for Online Responsibility (IFFOR), the non for profit organization tasked with policy making for the new .XXX Top Level Domain, is pleased to announce that Joan Irvine will be their first Executive Director.

Ms. Irvine comes to IFFOR with a wealth of experience. Most recently, she was the CEO of the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP). ASACP develops Best Practices and monitors its member sites for compliance and manages a child pornography reporting hotline.

With ASACP, Ms. Irvine spearheaded the development of the Restricted to Adults (RTA) website label that helps prevent children from viewing age-restricted content. The Association Society of Association Executives (ASAE) recognized Ms. Irvine for this project with their ?Associations Make a Better World? award in 2008. The U.S. House of Representatives awarded Ms. Irvine a Congressional Commendation plus she has been recognized by many Californian legislators and cities for her efforts on behalf of child protection.

?I will continue to serve the needs of online child protection, the responsible online adult entertainment industry and the other stakeholders as the Executive Director of The International Foundation for Online Responsibility (IFFOR)?, says Ms. Irvine. ?I felt it was important that someone who understands the industry, compliance, and legislation should help lead IFFOR and to also oversee the policy development process to assure that all interests are adequately represented as required under the IFFOR Charter.

?I?ve known Joan for more than 7 years and can?t think of a more-qualified person than her to take the helm at IFFOR? says Stuart Lawley, Chairman of IFFOR. ?We look forward to working with Joan and the policy council as they develop policies and best business practices for .XXX domains which will serve the global adult online community.?

She doesn't understand the industry, all she understands is $$$$$$$$$.

Joan already in Washington... lol it didn't take them long to send her to washington. I am sure she is talking to as many people as she can telling them how effective .xxx would be to protect kids if they could pass legislation removing all porn from all the other tlds.

I can't wait till IFFOR's tax returns are made public since it's a non profit to see how much more money Joan is making at IFFOR than she was at ASACP.

Wow.

Stuart got his little trojan horse into the government.

It's all downhill from here folks.

Let the nut polishing begin.

Looks like a cover for NAMBLA to me.

Usually those who make the most noise to protect kids, are actually the ones abusing them.

I am surprised they didn't do a little fact checking.. a simple check would show that over the years asacp has been asked by members and non members to show any evidence they have accomplished anything . To date i have seen zero evidence they ( asacp ) have accomplished anything other than brining home a fat paycheck for themselves. I see no reason to believe her role/success at iffor will be any different.

Dont ask Alec to give you any details.
Hes busy deciding on crucial matters like what music to play at the pool.

In porn, the term "working with" means having sex with.

See the last paragraph of comment 4 to this thread, which said:

...Stuart Lawley, Chairman of IFFOR. “We look forward to working with Joan...."

Hmmm! I wonder:-)! Nuff opined.
