Thank god, this week's Mac Vs Windows thread has been posted. I was wondering where it had got to.

one of the main reasons I see on line about going mac is: I don't get viruses.

They really don't, and they still don't. What you just provided is malware, meaning it is something the user installed themselves. Malware has always been around for every single type of operating system.
