Sixty Seven years ago today
 

...was D-Day...the Allied invasion of France. I salute the fallen and those that survived. I personally know a few survivors.

Yes it is sad but scandal gets viewers and viewers mean the news media can charge more for ads...historical events not so much.

I just watched a show on Discovery, a re-enactment of D-Day. Pretty crazy how it all played out. Respect to the allied forces, an incredible story.

This picture is pretty offensive, pushing the US flag over the memory of the fallen from many nations, remember that many nationalities took part in D-Day - and contary to the popular belief given by the american media in documentaries and films, america did not win the war alone.

Operation Overlord is sure impressive. This photograph looks very strong. A sight like this shows a lot of forces. A sight like this could scare an enemy.
