both hits were cheap and reckless - both Ference's skates were a foot off the ice and he went for the head. the Rome hit was worse, Horton wasn't anywhere near the puck after having passed it. Rome knew Horton wasn't paying attention to his blind side and he coiled his body to inflict the hardest hit he could.

difference between the 2 hits is Rome's put Horton to sleep on the ice, he was clearly oblivious to the sneak attack and he wasn't playing the puck.

I disagree Martin I agree you need to play over the edge in the Finals but the type of hit Rome did is 100% uncalled for. Hortons pass was gone for almost 3 seconds and Rome came from blind side and had AMPLE time to back off. I could understand if the puck had just left Hortys stick but it was long gone.

Loved the hit Tim Thomas did on the Sedin crybaby. If only the Kings were battling for the CUP. I'll keep dreaming.

he was skating into the zone looking the wrong way , it is his own fault, anyone who plays hockeys knows you just don't do this without expecting to get hurt. he should have gotten a 2 minute penalty that's it.

Did Horton think he was going to have a free ride through the neutral zone? Why can't there be accountability on Horton's end when he should have been keeping his head up. He hadn't passed the blue line and as far as I'm concerned, it was a clean shot. A hard shot but clean none-the-less. If Horton didn't go nighty night, at worst it would have been an interference penalty, which I don't agree with either.

What 3 strides? Crazy old man. One stride and he was looking at the puck all the way. May be it takes you 3 strides to go 8 feet because its 25 feet between red and blue lines and he was already 3/4 in.
