didnt they settle, because he was bringing in back to work legislation? Firing them all, would just mean a prolonged situation, as much as I agree with you:winkwink:

What are you talking about now? You do realize there's procedures that have to be followed in goverment, right? Harper can't just declare "back to work!" and everyone goes.

Wednesday the Labour Minister served 48 hour notice they would be tabling back to work legislation. The 48 hours notice is mandatory. Since there is no session on Monday, they will begin debating the bill Tuesday when, I am quite sure, just like the Air Canada legislation, it will quickly pass.

You could train a dog to deliver the mail. The whole lot of them should be fired.

not sure what was different in Reagan's case with the air traffic controllers who went on strike but i sure do remember when he fired all their asses and it was brilliant.

people who are lucky enough to have jobs with the government should take what the government offers them, because it's TWICE as much as the jobs are really worth usually and shut the fuck up - or be fired.

i have family working for the government - overpaid, their job skills on the open market would be worth half.

just because canada post wont hire you because of your morbid obesity doesn't mean you have to hate on them.

mchacal 06-19-2011 01:07 PM

Unbelievable how can those overpaid and under skilled motherfuckers claim for more when auxiliary nurses go to professional school for 2 years, get less money, have more responsibility and still have to pay for their license. They should fire them all and start hiring at 3/4 of what they get paid.

CDSmith 06-19-2011 06:15 PM

I pay my bills online these days. The rest of what they usually deliver to me can pile up in their bins for all I care. I can live without most of it for, well... forever.

I wish then good luck in getting what they're asking for though.

Sarah - GTS 06-20-2011 03:01 AM

They better get back to work this week!

As anyone even noticed the strike? I'd let them stay locked out for god, saves us a few billion dollars a year.

Yeah, it is funny a little. It's a bit like watching the horse drawn carriage factory go on strike. The postal system in the US is basically dead and bankrupt with no signs of a future, if they went on strike, it would be a wonderful thing for tax payers.

Yep and don't forget that it's a service that is bound to die ! Internet is killing it.
