Any coders here want to do joint venture.?

Hi,

I am looking for php coder looking for a joint venture,

I ll handle the domain and hosting and seo and i have bought template.

you should be able to create custom script as my requirement. it will be discussed over icq.

The script i wanna build is like tgp script with core search engine functionality.

It will be 50/50 pertnership on revenue.

Hit me up/ or drop me email in my sig.

Thanks for your time.

Why not just buy a tgp script and not split the profits.

If you're looking to partner with a coder, who will no doubt spend many hours writing this for you, you should bring more to the table than just "domain, hosting, template."

Not necessarily. What else do you offer? Will you do everything else? Marketing? SEO? Are you pretty decent at it? Will the coder need to do anything else? It's likely a lot of coding hours involved, so it should be attractive in that sense.

Anyone can buy a domain name, get affordable hosting, and find a template. A history of marketing and sales is a plus, but it should be something more than just domain+hosting+template.

yeah , you are right.

i just got an idea., how about instead of making script from scratch,
buy one available and make few modifications as per requirements, i think this will work, so lower workload on coder.

Didn't you offer this kind of deal for someone to pony you up with Mechbunny ?

yes, and its working good, started 2 tubes with mechbunny , i only asked him for approval for using script, 50/50 partnership.
and seo is in the work.

Many times modifying someone else's code is a bigger chore than going from scratch. :2 cents:

I would just hire someone to do the work, it's just not going to workout, especially considering you aren't bringing shit to the table... domain + template + hosting + some software to mass spam blog comments and forums? :1orglaugh

Babaganoosh 07-09-2011 07:34 AM

So you want my 15 years of programming experience in exchange for some cheap hosting, a cookie-cutter template and a copy of xrumer? Put down the pipe.

Why would a coder need you? In almost every situation where someone proposed a partnership I almost always had to ask what I needed them for.

I get the occassional offer like this too, and turn them down for the same reason. Partnerships rarely work out when one person is a partner and the other is a dependant. You need to offer something that the coder can't do himself. Anyone can foot a $200/mo server bill or buy/make a template.

Only way i'd partner with someone on something is if they had a huge traffic network of thier own, or a history of money making projects. However, this works both ways. Someone with a huge traffic network or history of making good money wouldn't need me as a partner, because he could just hire me to do the work instead and keep all the profit, and if they DID want to partner I would think they don't 100% believe in the project because they aren't willing to stake the starting capital (development costs).
