Back in 1955 I worked at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix for about a year. Saw many displays like the ones shown. Sandstorms, lightning storms galore. Was beautiful for a regular Michigander to witness.

it was crazy this morning thunder and rain :)

wow, these are stunning. It reminds me of back when I was in high-school. We went to a physics lab and saw the scientists make thunders. They weren't as spectacular as this, but it was the closest I got to them. And the air smells so much better after, with all the ozone

We had some lightening storms this morning around 2am, but nothing as fierce as these pictures, but I am sure there will be some on the way....
