very true... unless you plan on hookup on a keyboard and mouse to that, it will become a headache after a while

Grab an AMD card with Eyefinity and get 3. It's the only way to go.

Hahaha. I'll stick with one 24" monitor. Don't need 2.

Any info on this?? I am running a lappy with a docking station and want moar screens than 2.. but i do not want the software that stretches 3 into 1.. I want each screen to be separate.. and would like it to be compatible with a docking station (not USB based)

CUrrently I'm old school, D630 with docks and VGA and DVI..

Any hints???

I'm paid good. But thanks! I love this little laptop. Got a 500GB Seagate Momentus XT in it. Runs like a new MacBook. Thinking about getting an iMac or a Mini soon though for desktop.

:thumbsup

Well considering I just got the desk about 15 hrs ago... ;)

Also, I like to keep a minimalistic, clean work environment. Keeps my head clear and more focused, productive... :winkwink:

Unimportant papers and clutter doesn't equal productivity. It means more work that means nothing. Don't do a lot of work, do a lot of efficient and productive work.

Question on keeping a clean work environment...

how do you keep it that way for a longer period of time?

Mike Honcho 07-19-2011 03:02 PM

eyefinity is so 2010

The best way to do it is to never let any unimportant items even make it onto your workspacee. Look at it as a screening process for "stuff" - is it worth your time, does it "deserve" to be hanging out on your desk?

If you already have a bunch of unorganized clutter. get rid of small amounts at a time, in between breaks. Don't need to clear it all off at once. If something isn't important (junk mail, etc) - throw it away! You don't need it. And it's taking up your valuable time.

Additionally, go all digital. Tell your electric company, phone company, etc to all stop sending you paper bills. This is an age where it's just not necessary. You can get it emailed. Be careful though, email boxes can get cluttered too...

Nice, thanks for writing that up:thumbsup

I have tried various approaches, yet after about a week it kind of stops working. The clutter keeps returning because it could be important in a little while or maybe not. Also I should probably stop eating at my desk...

Nice clean area.

mineistaken 07-20-2011 05:37 AM

I would put my desktop PC there and it would be just fine

DamianJ 07-20-2011 05:43 AM

Horrible horrible horrible for your body to work hunched over a laptop on a desk. Horrible.

Get a keyboard, and a proper mouse, and a screen and plug the macbook into it.

Your back will thank me in years to come. True story.

Nicky 07-20-2011 05:50 AM

I upgraded a while ago.

Core i7 with 12gb ddr3 ram and a 120gb SSD disk. 27" LG LED monitor to that. Best thing I've done :)
