When you buy films, what format do you buy them on?

bluray! spent to much money on hd equipment to was DVDs :winkwink:

DVDs if I want a hard copy.

I buy a hard drive and download them to it.

With rare exceptions like a concert DVD by my favorite punk rock band or something like that I never purchase movies. I just wait until they play on HBO, Showtime, Encore or Starz and watch them for free on my HDTV.

I only buy Blu Ray, or Blu Ray + Digital copy. The difference in image and sound quality is huge. If my favorite movie was on DVD only, I would wait for the Blu Ray version.

The Bluray format is also much better than any broadcast HD. Broadcast HD is over compressed.

I just download it.

I use to buy both, haven't bought a DVD in a few years. Between Netflix and DirectTV I don't see the need to.

DVD. I'm blind as a bat so why bother.

I pirate them like everybody else.

Both. Depends on price and big screen experience desired.

Bluray for something new that I really want to see in high quality, but DVD for nostalgic stuff that's on really deep discount.

I used to buy DVDs all the time. Now I just buy a digital copy and watch them on my Xbox or off the computer anytime I want.

Blu-Ray mostly.

Was still buying DVD's but the price of Blu-Rays has finally come down...
