How do you find new domains to register?
 

This is a question for those that buy lots of domains. Do you use software or some type of service to find the domains that you register? I hate searching for new domains to register and want to find a way to make it easier.

I find this a nice tool...Expired Domain Script it updates daily with about 50,000 new domains.

1. Think of a great name.
2. Check it's available.
3. See it's not available and the guy wants $7000 or some over the top evaluation (s)he made up.
4. Repeat.

There used to be a site which creates words...... cant remember the URL.

I just bought nikkistar.com for a client of mine. Great porn name. Who would have thought it was available in today's market. Goes to show you that occasionally you catch a break.

I just sit down and have a brainstorm-session.
Haven't used any software yet.
And I also check marketplaces at domain-registrars to see if something useful shows up at a reasonable price.

try to visit the domain

Visit one of the expired domain search sites listed above and see whats dropping. The one I use lets you type in keywords and separate between tlds (.com,.net, etc), as well as filtering by drop date.

So, for example, I type in date in the search box and browse through the names available in a day or two. Dateorfun.com was available at the time and I thought it was a good name so I grabbed it as soon as it became available.

Usually there are a lot of nice domains that creative people came up with but never ended up using. I start checking for it throughout that day when it is supposed to be dropped and if i can snag it.

You have to be quick or willing to buy a snap sometimes if the name is awesome. About two weeks ago I found pornshop.com was expiring but someone with a snap beat me to it. Now its at a link farm. ={

I just did a search for porn and saw maturepornclip.com has been available since yeestday and is still available. I don't have time to search for a better example but you get the point.

I use domain suggestions of a registrar. I type words like let say nudelivecam and take the suggestion number 8. I think I've made a great deal by buying motornudelivecam.com :)

try and think of one i also use sugestions fron registrar thay allways through a few good ones up

there are few good but i think they scan that lists many many times before us and snatch all good names

If you want to search for and find great keyword domains and then keep track of their performance then Market Samurai is a fantastic way to find killer keyword domains. It does keyword research, domain research, rank tracking, helps with creating content and other cool stuff.

If you want the easy route, you should buy domains in the secondary market. If you're patient, there are even some bargains offered on GFY's own Sell and Buy Forum from time to time.

Use a free service like http://www.exxxpired.com/ for good adult names.
