Oracle has a hands down winner in their lawsuit against Google in which they are seeking $1 billion plus. From an internal Google email:

Based on their last quarterly report $3 billion is about 30% of their cash on hand.

It turns out that Java was uploaded to their source code by a surfer and they are protected by DMCA.

Sure, surfers had no way to add Java to their source code, because submissions were not accepted, but it was still a surfer and nothing will happen to them.

On the other hand, Oracle's CEO posted that he was glad they were using Java, so they can argue various forms of estoppel (Oracle said it was ok).
