What amazes me is that an helicopter with armed men in it crashed into a house, and at no point in time was the local authorities called.

If a helicopter crashed into a residential area, there would be cops there within minutes.

I like the part where they mention how leaving a heli behind was good because it would serve as proof to the doubters.

"On the morning of Sunday, May 1st, White House officials cancelled scheduled visits, ordered sandwich platters from Costco, and transformed the Situation Room into a war room" ... :thumbsup

The article answers one question I (and many) had ... how many SEALs are there:

According to the article, about 300.

That means 7% of SEALs were wiped out in the helicopter crash the other day...almost 1 in 10. :(

You know that is stinging the unit 10x harder than if they lost just one or two, which is devastating in and of itself.
