What are your thoughts on X-Art.com?

Hey guys,

I am working on a couple of new projects and I came across X-Art again.

http://x-art.com/

I like the content and I feel that it is pretty good quality but I was wondering if it sells well for you affiliates, if it looks good to you surfers, and if you think it is hot.

I would love to hear what you guys like and dislike about it! :thumbsup

Mutt 08-10-2011 02:35 PM

surfers and affiliates love x-art - hope you have a few hundred K if you are thinking of doing something similar. heard they dropped 30K on the Tiffany Thompson hardcore shoots alone.

x-art only took off when they went hardcore - it had been around a few years and you didn't see much promotion of it around. now it's everywhere - which is a double edged sword.

proton 08-10-2011 02:37 PM

It converts better than all other similar sites for me.

RandyD 08-10-2011 02:38 PM

By far the best CCbill converter for me :)

Paul&John 08-10-2011 02:49 PM

I've added them only to my sidebar on two blogs and already made sales :) (I usually sale memberships through my main posts)

btw their hosted POTD hasn't changed for a few days (already sent them a message about that, but no reply yet): http://hosted.x-art.com/potd/

Taking aside any super-expensive individual model fees that someone might be foolish enough to overpay, I don't see anything on X-Art that would require a few hundred grand investment in terms of content to have enough scenes to launch a site if that is what you are referring to, Mutt. Sure there's a nice style on the photos and videos and really good models now with hardcore sex, but other than the stylistic elements, nubile young models and some nice locations I don't really see it as anything too much different than what I have shot for Twistys or similar sites. High end stylized glamor hardcore- I would love to shoot some more of that style with fresh faced models if a client wanted something vaguely similiar.

Thanks Mutt. I think a couple hundred K would be about right. No 30k a shoot though for sure, but the shoots would obviously cost more than the typical gonzo scene. The reality is that its really more a matter of talent and style behind the camera and in the editing room. Not sure which girl is Tiffany T on the site but I will have a look.

Nasty 08-10-2011 06:33 PM

Surfers must like the content, one of the few ccbill programs still converting good for me

NaughtyRob 08-10-2011 06:54 PM

I totally agree.

Hair and Make-up
Well rested Talent that can pull of a clean glamour look
Nice Locations
2 vDSLR's (my guess is 5D's) with some decent glass
A fuck ton of natural light
An eye for nicely composed shots
Wash and repeat...

Gambrinus 08-10-2011 09:37 PM

sweet merciful christ this girl would fucking ruin me

Agent 488 08-10-2011 09:41 PM

not really up to paul markham standards but surfers seem to like it.

iwantchixx 08-10-2011 10:02 PM

I had a lot more respect for their "Art" before they went hardcore. Ruins the whole fantasy look IMO but they do have some very nice photography.. more realistic and MUCH better color balance than competitors mentioned in this thread (sorry lol). The whole white-washed background thing is annoying though...

Ones that continues to amaze me though is the ero berlin series of sites and even MET is getting gorgeous.

the source 08-10-2011 10:25 PM

Seriously, one of the best sites available in this day and age. :thumbsup

Exactly! It's basically just good-looking people, not over-the-top porny acting and some decent lighting. Throw in some good equipment and you're good to go. They don't even do all that much with what they have. Pretty standard composition and not too much involved camera work from what I can tell. I find it weird that porn hasn't aspired to this more. X-Art is operating from a similar standpoint to The Art of Blowjob, but they don't quite have the personal touch. The intimacy in X-Art can feel a bit staged at times, is all.

alias 08-11-2011 09:20 AM

Nice site.

TheDA 08-11-2011 09:35 AM

It's one of those sites that's always sold very well for me. Been promoting it for about 6 years or so I guess.

Hyper-aestheticization of pornography? No thanks!

juicyvideos 08-11-2011 10:30 AM

I must say that this kind of sites sells very good!

Our www.sunerotica.com site is doing amazing for example :)

So anyone that would like to try something new and fresh, you're welcome to singup to our program and boost your summer sales with us!

The site is pretty new so you wont see much of us around, but those who advertise us are happy :). Some erotica sites that put us up already see amazing coversions.

So I'm sure X-Art sells good as well as our site!

It's a completely different type of style than Twistys.

John-ACWM 08-11-2011 11:16 AM

Super hot content!

JP-pornshooter 08-11-2011 05:41 PM

"secrets" is obviously the location with tons of natural light.
other than that i agree indeed it is pretty but pretty is not always raunchy enough.
