Just got back from a funeral...
It was pretty nice actually, for a funeral. Dont take me the wrong way - I'm not taking the piss... But it was a pleasant, and relatively non religious service.
He a was a neighbour of mine - Only really went out respect for his wife - Didn't really 'know him' so not upset at all...
It was a 'Soldiers Funeral' The Hearse arrived with the coffin under a union flag, with a lone scotts piper walking in front, playing the bagpipes...
All went inside where a Funeral Director (As opposed to a vicar or priest) said a bit about him to the crowd, then his wife spoke for a few moments, then the woman funeral director said a bit of 'palatable' stuff about death 'He will always be with you etc' and that was it...
No Hymns - No Prayers - No Waffle... NO GOD THIS GOD THAT... etc...
Just quick clean and respectful. A good funeral - I'll give it a 9 out 10
What was your fave funeral?
