Celebrity site owners - getting an influx of C&Ds lately?

The last month or so I seem to be getting quite a few C&D letters from celebrities lawyers or other 'brand protection' services. Was wondering if anyone else is getting them? Or did the first law company put the details of my sites into some 'list'

Nope. I can't say I have seen that.

Simply remove whatever they are asking about, and go on with your day.

I have been doing just that. It's always my policy to just remove shit when asked but seems odd all of sudden to be getting them out of the blue when some of these sites are years old.

The Taylor Swift one is her real brand protection company.

The wrslawyers.com (Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Love Hewitt, etc.) is a bit odd.
I think that guy just contacts celebs and asks if he can try to sue celeb sites on their behalf to try to get some money and then they split the money or something.

do you not pay for or own the content you use on your sites?

I stopped doing celebrity sites and killed the domains. I felt like a hypocrite. I was a hypocrite. Can't hate piracy and then "borrow" the work of paps and other mainstream photographers.

Seeing as how I am an affiliate, no.

what does this mean? you are an affiliate for a company that owns the rights to all of the photos so they allow you the right to use those photos to promote their sites?

Not very familiar with the celebrity niche are you? Probably 1% or less of the sites have rights to anything, like Xpays that's about it. You follow take down requests and you're fine.

Did Robb from Robbs Celebs really die or did he have to pretend to die?
