Spunky Cash

Since I haven't received a reply from your support for several days now, maybe you can give me an answer here.

Why did I get an email welcome message from both xProfiles and AmateurMatch same minute I signed up to one of your sites?

I noticed the cross sale offers but none of those were for above sites.
This is very unexpected.

Shit loads of sites, tubes, forums do this sort of thing.. That's why those dating sites have those APIs in the first place.

Normal... Signs you up for free, then if you want to use it, it is on you!

TheSenator 08-27-2011 02:45 PM

I haven't been able to ICQ him for weeks.

spunky99 08-27-2011 02:55 PM

we offer our members free memberships, there are opt out links at the bottom of every email.

V_RocKs 08-27-2011 04:00 PM

Hmm... Seems this sort of thing would be OK if you offered PPS...

There is a difference between "offering" a membership, and providing a 3rd party with an e-mail addy so that they can then send unsolicited e-mail and sign people up to a program that they didn't sign up for (or further disseminate the e-mail addy to possibly other 3rd party spammers).

Blue can of steel
what promise do you hold?
salt flesh so ripe

Can of metal, slick
soft center, so cool, moistening
I yearn for your salt

Twist, pull the sharp lid
Jerks and cuts me deeply but
Spam, aaah, my poultice.

silent, former pig
one communal awareness
myriad pink bricks
you wait to feed me
stoic vigil on the shelf

ah my vibrant pink
jelly for mortar
seven hundred tins and more
i build a Spam house
my friend pork shoulder
I return to you.

this time
i've brought mayonnaise
above all others
porcine treat without equal
there is but one Spam
clad in metal, proud
no mere salt-curing for you

you are not bacon
and who dares mock Spam?
you? you? you are not worthy
of one rich pink fleck

Grotesque pinkish mass
In a blue can on a shelf
Quivering alone
Like some spongy rock

A granite, my piece of Spam
In sunlight on my plate
Oh Argentina!

Your little tin of meat soars
Above the pampas
The color of Spam
is natural as the sky:

A block of sunrise
Little slab of meat
In a wash of clear jelly

Now I heat the pan
Oh tin of pink meat
I ponder what you may be:
Snout or ear or feet?

In the cool morning
I fry up a slab of Spam
A dog barks next door

Pink tender morsel
Glistening with salty gel
What the hell is it?

Ears, snouts, and innards,
A homogenous mass
Pass another slice

Cube of cold pinkness
Yellow specks of porcine fat
Give me a spork please

Old man seeks doctor
"I eat Spam daily", he says.
Angioplasty

Highly unnatural
The tortured shape of this "food"
A small pink coffin

licing your sweet self
Salivating in suspense
Sizzle, sizzle..Spam

Pink beefy temptress
I can no longer remain
Vegetarian
That is all... :)

Why? PPS or REV, once the customer signs up, the customer belongs to the program, not the affiliate. Programs have always had upsells in their member's area.

With YNOT Mail I have hundreds of programs that are going back and emailing past members, offering them discounts to come back. It only makes sense to try to squeeze every last dollar out of the customer.

Inside the members area is free game for the program or site. Automatic free signups upon join, maybe not so good.

Normal? Really? I have signed up for memberships for about every site I promote, and must say this is first time I experience this.

Sure it is free but I really don't like my email being used by everyone else than myself.

Other sponsors here that can confirm this is their normal practice?

Haha... only when they are called out, and even then they run rampant and try sugar coating it... get on ICQ and message all their top notch bros to jump in the thread to help them save face.

I really wish you would put a box on your site instead where people can freely put in their email if they want the offer.

Sure my accounts were both free and I haven't been charged anything, but they now have my email address and god knows what it might be used for by sites that are already full of fake dating profiles and use false advertising to capture members.

I was about to find some content to promote your sites, but I am sorry to say that unless there is going to be a change of current practice I will have to put my plan on hold, and search for alternative sponsors.

Props on actually joining the sites you are going to promote. Seeing the site as a member would. :thumbsup

No, we don't send out anything like that. Just a welcome to the site email with user/pass info. Who knows, might be missing out on a boatload of extra cash.

CamTraffic 08-28-2011 05:55 AM

doesn't xprofile offer $3 / Email?

I believe the best basis to sell a product is to know something about it. At least that is what I am telling myself :)

Most sites I promote are all CCbill based (revshare) so need to check if they are still updated, are the girls still active with fx exclusive live chat, webcam shows or forums to increase chance of members to stay etc, etc...
Sites no longer maintained are set to PPS if possible or in most cases just avoided.

You might be missing out on some cash now yes, but hopefully it will over time be rewarded.

Those dating sites spam the shit out of every email address they get their hands on. Why would you do that to your members just to make a quick buck?

MPGdevil 08-30-2011 07:29 AM

I take it by the silence that you are not going to change practice?

MPGdevil 09-01-2011 03:05 PM

Ok welcome to my shitlist then.

jscott 09-01-2011 04:36 PM

Damn, kinda fucked up..... then again with the tubes/torrents nowdays, everyone is doing really shady shit, and really spammy kinds of marketing tactics to try keep their profits from dropping to more shitty (than they already are)

Sucks man. :(
