Yoast knows his sh!t. I'm gonna swap out all my AIOSEO WP plugin-powered blogs to this bad boy.

anexsia 09-04-2011 08:13 PM

Wish we had a thread devoted to just wordpress stuff, I'm always looking for new plugins, themes, etc

X37375787 09-04-2011 08:48 PM

The Yoast plugin seems really powerful AND it replaces 4 other plugins I've been running. Very nice. Thanks Gene for the recommendation.

The plugin has been out for almost a year if you read his post. This is merely the first "stable" version of it.

Yoast Seo plugin and most of his plugins have been out there for a fucking while...

I use them in all my blogs since a long time ago.

Really sometimes i think most of " adult webmasters" in gfy are just fucking newbies...

Paul&John 09-05-2011 12:57 AM

Yep Yoast's plugin is out for some time now, and it's the best sofar

Lol!
Read the fucking forum and you'll see.

Tgp submissions, linkdump submissions, blog directories, sites that look like shit, relying in bookmark trafic, tube submissions hoping for some spare visits, etc etc etc...

Fucking pathetic...

Adraco 09-05-2011 02:10 AM

SEO by Yoast has renderd quite the following, because of how good it is. So it's been a lot of talk and hype about it in webmaster forums and even the big international host Crystone had it in their customer email as recommended plugins some 7 months ago.

Jel 09-05-2011 02:15 AM

I hadn't seen it until this thread, I guess I must be a fucking newbie. Cool.

fris 09-05-2011 06:57 AM

hes gonna be putting out a video sitemap addon

Brujah 09-05-2011 07:48 AM

the important question is, has anyone experienced an increase in search engine traffic after switching and attribute it primarily to the new plugin?

doubt it. people usually end up losing rankings to seo plugins actually.

FreeHugeMovies 09-05-2011 10:33 AM

I'll give it a try on an old blog that could use a boost, and see how it compares.

all my sites that use SEO plugins have been knocked down by google imo. I guess they view it as "gaming the system"

no because what goes into most seo plugins are based upon seo urban legends.

I agree some of what goes into most seo plugins is unneeded, but as with any decent kit, you leave out what you don't need, and use what you do. It's more a case of the user not knowing which parts to use rather than the plugin itself being to blame for below-par serps.

drmadcat 09-06-2011 12:07 AM

plugin looks good

anexsia 09-06-2011 12:34 AM

I use the "Ultimate SEO" plugin right now on all of my blogs, would switching to Yoast's SEO plugin make any significant difference?

Yes of course. Google is very dumb. All simple tactics from half a decade or more ago work great today. Just add a simple free plugin to your blog and you are guaranteed to quadruple your traffic and revenues in a matter of days. Pornhub uses this plugin to get the number 1 result for porn. That and the video wordpress theme. Thats all it takes really.

I used to think it was my massive network of VPS/dedicated boxes running a host of tools and building links, trading well and buying links well that mattered. We all know not that it doesn't matter. I don't have time to debate the particulars, but its a well known fact that for ranking for anything in 2011 and getting search traffic, you definitely want to be making the correct wordpress plugin choices.

Everyone but AdultKing needs to head over to Warrior Forum and pay $149.00 for the WSO "How to make Google your bitch in 20 mins or less" and you'll see. Most on GFY are perfect candidates for that. I'd post the link to the webs only truly informative forum on making money online, but i'd get banned because mods are jealous.

Avalana 09-06-2011 09:49 AM

well.. yoast is running multiple errors and bugs... but if they are going to fix this.. it would be a awesome tool
