Promoting dating sponsors on blogs - whats the best way?
Lets say you have datingblog.com and you promote some dating sponsor. What is the best post writing technique? I mean should I write some "dating tips", should I write fake dating stories - pretending I met this hot chick (include sponsor picture) in THIS (include link to sponsor) awesome dating site or something else?
ps: business thread, do not spam dating sponsors. thanks |
Good question, probably need to test and see which works best for your writing style, interest and surfers.

Here's how I do it.
Find excellent keywords, especially long tail keywords. Target them on around 15 high quality blogs with great articles on dating. For example the keyword "legitimate dating sites" , you would roll out articles entitled Legitimate Dating Sites with an article warning people about the dangers of some dating sites and how to choose the right one, you would then in the same article mention your two dating sponsors (good to give people choice) as legitimate dating sites which can be trusted. So the start of the article is informative, the second part of the article is like a mini review with links to your dating sites. Link to your money site using each of these 15 + blogs / deep links into your money site which again has reviews - and you will gain PR2+ in no time on the money site. (Edit: for some keyword terms I might have 2 or 3 of my blogs on the front page of a particular keyword search which gives me a higher chance of gaining a click through from the SERPs. There are some instances where I have 1, 2 & 3 in the search results which gives you most of the search traffic for that long tail keyword right there) On the money site have reviews of several dating sites with nice star/review boxes linking to your sponsors. This strategy works because each time someone hits your network blogs there is a chance they will hit the dating sponsor, however the real purpose of them is to boost your money site which for many keyword terms will rank extremely well. I use Market Samurai to find keywords to target and to track the rank and check SEO competition for each keyword I use. |

long tail idea is good, but what if I already have a keyword that is more generic, like for example "shemale dating".
Is it good idea to write fake stories like "check this out I met this hot shemale on this site (include sponsor photo), we had a dinner and blah blah, so this website is very cool because you can meet real people" ? Or should I be more generic and just talk that " this site is cool, legitimate and full of real profiles" ? So in short I am wondering what's the best PREselling tactic. |
Check out this: https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=964435 may or may not help.

A few years ago I had a dating blog. Wrote some huge fake stories that generated quite a bit of se traffic and made a shit ton of money.

You also wrote about linking schemes and seo tactics. What I am asking is slightly different - I am asking about pre-sales text, not about seo. Not to disrespect your info though, its all good, however I am thinking about slightly different angle here. |

My research and testing suggests one of the major things that prevents someone from signing up to a dating site is trust. We distribute articles which follow a simple formula, we confirm the idea in the readers mind that some dating sites are not trustworthy and then guide them to a choice of two which we say are. This converts 4 times more often than a plain promotional post linking to one site. To be more specific we also use ratings boxes with check points at the bottom of the post, they look like reviews. |

quality links to other dating/review sites will also help you cause. Deep linking of unique content is the way to go on your blogs. Don't just copy someone else's content, even changing some of it isn't enough.

allright, thanks for replies
