Cannot contain town of Bastrop, 35 miles away...fire is 16 miles long, 6 miles wide, jumped Colorado river, evacuated entire town and also neighborhood called Steiner ranch of 5500* PLEASE EVERYONE REPOST EVEN IF NOT IN TEXAS.. After hearing an rumor, I went to the Gov's twitter feed and apparently Austin has enough. Not sure about the rest of the state.

Going to lose 50% of their available staff to answering the phone.

only place ive seen this is facebook - not talked about on the local news.

I think they would activate local resources before they put out a call on facebook tho.
That area has only asked for about 10 guys from our city and has yet to ask for the army's (ft hood ) fd to help so i honestly doubt this is true

I was just in Bastrop a week ago in a golf tournament. Part of the neighborhood right next to the course is in the wildfire... crazy...
