Even if he wins the media will say it was Perry or Bachmann that won.

I hope Huntsman puts out a strong performance, but he'll probably be laughed off the stage for being rational.

Caligari 09-07-2011 04:32 PM

Putting Bachman and Perry in the same room is like making a live horror film, only its not entertaining, its scary and depressing.

Naturally the MSM is barely mentioning Ron Paul if at all once again.

It is the republican primary after all where rational, logical and reasonable are not good qualities. These days they have to out-batshit-crazy each other to win.

it's on msnbc right now

GatorB 09-07-2011 05:08 PM

How is the debate scored? Like 5 points everytime they call Obama a socialist? And 2 points for everytime they say "Obamacare". Maybe 10 points everytime they answer a question on how they would improve things by saying how much Obama sucks instead of actually answering the question. If this was a REAL deabate were the candidates would actually have the balls to go after each other instead of being a Obama hatefest I might watch.

Redrob 09-07-2011 05:41 PM

Just turn it over to God and he'll sort it out. Gov. Perry's advice.

Maybe, the losers will just drop dead.

The power-elite, for all practical purposes, chooses who the Presidential candidates are. But even if a candidate who is not their ideal choice gets into office, the power-elite makes very clear to them whose boss...

It's not surprise that Obama's administration actions have been very similar to that of Bush and Clinton - political leaders, by and large, are figureheads - it's all about who is pulling the strings / big money interests that counts - until that changes, not much else will.

Ron

Yup, that's exactly right.

Take the special interests out of government, or nothing will ever change.

Everyone not named Perry needs to be bashing Perry if they want to make headway. The audience already hates Obama. Preaching to choir is not going to help you move up in the polls. Since when is saying "Vote for me, I hate Obama like Perry" going to work?

they are saying that the race is now between Romney and Perry
I dont think Romney can win in the primaries and I dont think Perry could win the general election.... this is going to be an interesting year

I liked Ron Paul's observation that any machinegun & barbwire border fence constructed today to keep illegals out, one day, can be used to keep Americans in.

True that!

Most Americans are too dumb to understand things like that, they think it's crazy talk...

They're probably thinking "Oh my God, wtf is he talking about? Our government would NEVER EVER do anything wrong, especially not to hurt us or take our freedoms away."

Well at least they get it....

But do you think it's a coincidence that they are labeled as crazy?

Of course not, it's because they don't want the American people to understand the true purpose of the 2nd Amendment.

It's not for hunting lol...

It's a last resort chance to defend yourselves against a government that turns tyrannical and oppressive. (why do you think it includes the right to form a MILITIA?)

Yes your shotgun or dear rifle against a TANK. Good luck with that.

Would you rather have a shotgun and a rifle, or nothing at all?

Hmm....

StickyGreen 09-07-2011 09:21 PM

Also Gator, how many military men would be willing to actually use that tank to kill his own fellow countrymen? I would hope not many.

Therefore 350 million armed people vs. a tiny army would still be a decent fight... at least they would have 1% chance instead of 0% chance...

Romney has a better shot at winning this year than in the past. This year the powers that be were so afraid of Palin that they changed the rules. It used to be the winner of the state gets all the delagates. So many very conservative states fought to get their election date moved up so that they would have more say in the election. So now they have changed the rules and if the primary is held during march will have to divider their delegates proportionally by how the vote went instead of winner take all. This could allow Romney to hang around and still get delegates then later in the cycle once April comes and the primaries go back to winner take all in the more progressive states he could make a run.

In a way that is what McCain did. He won some states, he finished 2nd and 3rd in some states but Huckabee was really giving him a run for his money in the bible belt. He was able to hold out until the race left the bible belt and then he pulled ahead for good. Romney might be able to play that same game.

Then you wouldn't need a gun then since no one would be fighting you. Oh and Americans woudn't kill Americans? There was this thing called the Civil War.

310 million and MILIONS are old, cripple or children. So no they won't be fighting. many those that are most of them won't be fighting either. The Civial War the South was basically on the equal terms with the "evil" northern governent. Who won? Any "citizens army" now is no were near the level of our US military. Oh and if our military can't take care of some under gunned rebels then our military sucks. Now does it suck? Nope.

I never said Americans wouldn't kill Americans, I said "I would hope not many" would. Of course some soldiers are so fucking brainwashed that they would obey any order.

You are still dodging the point that being armed is better than not being armed. I'd rather have a chance than be completely helpless.
