Quebec residents inside please..need advise on selling a car
 

I am selling a car for my girlfriends mother, she lives in Quebec and I have no idea the process in signing over the title. In ontario you just need to sign the back of the ownership. Is that all that is required in Quebec too? I tried to google it but couldn't really find anything.

I'm here to officially announce I'm of no help. I sold my car when I moved to Montreal... but sold it in Ontario. Heck, I can't even remember what I did for that! ADD suuuucks!

Previous owner need to sign the registration at the back and if your mother in law don't want go to the SAAQ with the new buyer she need to fill out that form:

so unless we use this form, she would have to go to the saaq? Is an ontario resident able to act as proxy? You can't just sign over the ownership?

Call up the SAAQ and get a straight answer from them and avoid any and all headaches.
