i think its best to be free, and leave it to your programs to sling it imho. It even pisses me off when sponsors do it on fhg'z. People start typing madly on the close window key and you lose the site and they are just like "fuck it, that whole experience was annoying as fuck anyways"...

You should see the heat tracks on gui's with popups vs. those without, then webmasters would understand.

OP must not be a webmaster. We do pop-ups because they make money.

If you're getting 1:20,000 on a pop-up you're doing something wrong.

Lol, you're right. My shits used to be popunder but now it's a popup, the popup conversion ratio didn't change from the popunder though.. I need to at least change them and see what happens.

And a lot of you have clearly never tried a popunder/popup, fuck the surfer, they are freeloading most of the time anyways. Pop up/unders make money, period. Far more than the shooing away you do by using them. Stop trying to cater to freeloaders.... I've said too much.

I'm experimenting with some on a tube and my traffic actually increased. Probably a coincidence there but it hasn't hurt for sure.

But yeah, having them on an FHG is fucking stupid. "Hey, check out this ad before you go and look at that other ad!"

1:20k is a decent ratio via popup --> 5$/1k visitors
