Loving Virgin America

Firstly, I love that I am actually typing this from mid-air on my way to Chicago. It makes me think back to the days of waiting for websites to load on my old ass dial up connection and wondering if I ever thought I would be on fast wifi in the sky.

Secondly, Virgin America is a masterclass in marketing. Not only are they lending people Chrome books for flights and giving them free wifi in exchange (the first one is always free, right?) but they have every inch of the flight experience working as upsells but doing it in such a way that you feel privileged to pay for things.

Heck, the music catalog that you can listen to during take off and beyond is enough to make a musico like me happy. If they get more routes, I might have to make them my default domestic airline.

they are a great airline. i used to fly them from LAX to SFO

they dont fly a lot of places that I go so I stick with US Airways because of my status with them. however, on their WiFi i can no longer access GFY :(

Yeah, another thing I was going to say was I loved how I wasn't filtered out of going to GFY. Now, keeping my screen at a slant so that the Big Sausage Pizza pics aren't seen is another adventure but one I can manage :)

By far, that was the best flight experience I have ever had.
