Better PPS or Revshare ? pls explain
Do you prefer go with PPS or Revshare or Trials?
In which situtation you prefer them? and why? I really would like to know all your opinions and explanations. Thx |
PPS. Take the money and run.

there was a thread about it few days maybe week ago. i go with revs and trials for the start, always. then see if site convert and if there are rebills, if there are no sales, i move out, if there are sales but no rebills, i keep promoting but with pps. some sites are rebilling some not, i am now over 300 rebills monthly and for me it is something to count with :winkwink: pps, take money and run, short term business, and with revs i feel more like half to half with my sponsor, makes me feel better :)

It depends on the program...some rebill really well and some don't rebill at all. The one's that don't rebill I obviously just use PPS, but I also have some sponsors that make me an average of $120 per signup because the average rebill is 6-8 times.

But what cms are you working with? I use smartscript and I think I cannot change the ref ID (from rev to pps for example) in all the galleries I already put in my cms. It would be a pain in the ass |
My rebills haven't been nearly what they used to be so I push mostly PPS now. I still push revshare with most ccbill sites but ccbill has been hating me this month.

There are a couple of things that will dictate which way you should go.
1) Is it a good reputable affiliate program? Do they have crazy rules they say they stop paying you on revshare if you stop sending traffic. 2) Does your traffic generate a higher then average amount of CB's or refunds? 3) Does the product you send to rebill well? Generally these days PPS is the way to go. It's just safe and gets cash into your pocket. Our program loadedcash.com will earn you more on Revshare for sure, the % depends on the traffic. |
I only use revshare. If a site is so poor that the surfer don't even stay for a month, why would I consider putting a lot of work into promoting that site.
I see too many sponsors who have 20+ shitty sites to promote, instead of focusing on fx 5 really kick ass sites that actually care about the members and invites them to stay. Besides, sponsors who offer very high payouts usually do all kinds of tricks to cover the cost and unfortunally not all are for the good of this industry. There are execptions of course like those who just happen to have a great product, but why pick PPS then. I know many use PPS and are successful with it, so it is all a matter of preference. I wish more sponsors would focus more on quality instead of quantity though. I never found the PPS payout race good, but like the give away of free content I guess it's an inevitably process to hijack most webmasters. My sales/rebills % is pretty steady 50/50 but also had a few periods where the rebills really saved the month. Test and find what's best for you. |
I have always liked to have a mix in my portfolio of sponsors. If I am selling a general hardcore sort of site then I like to go for the PPS. If I am nursing traffic to a more specific site such as maybe a fetish site, then I like to go for rev share because I know that once I get those right sort of guys into that site they are going to be there and rebilling for ages.
