Stars.XXX asking $100,000 pass (last live bid $15,000)
Virtual.XXX asking $15,000 SOLD $5,000
Movies.xxx asking $500,000 pass (last live bid $80,000)

If .xxx is going to be a failure, then the sellers just made $103,000 off of 4 domains... I would take that money... Wouldn't you... :banana

I know a lot of domain investors had thier eye on Movies.XXX due to many saying this was a star domain in the XXX range but it didnt even reach 1/5th of its asking price.

They should have took the 80k

He only sold 2 domains for $8500 and you are not including what he paid for the domains.

If you "know the domain space" you would know non .coms never sell for much
Be lucky if they get 10% of what the .com is worth

If i understand those stats correctly it was a huge fail because stars.xxx got a PASS, it was not sold, and Movies.xxx got a PASS, it was not sold.
and the highest bid on stars.xxx was 15k, a far cry from the 100k they were asking:1orglaugh

so in reality the guy grossed 8.5k and domains probably originally cost him 8k:1orglaugh

The funny thing is the current state of adult fucked Lawley, too. He probably would have made a ton more if they approved the TLD when he first applied. Now the average webmaster is shedding domains when it used to be about acquiring them. His loss. ICAAN fucked him in the end.

if you don't think he is going to make a fortune from this you are retarded. every mainstream business is buying their equivalents for 200 bucks a pop and the top adult ones are being bought for ridiculous amounts. not matter how you cut it, he won.
