Adult Friendly Hosting not too Friendly?
 

Hhaha, welll lets see. I just called them up. Guy answers the phone.. says he in the shower. (Dawgy youd love that I bet ;)). I say hey, you got any plans for 10 dollars a month (a lil side project of mine which could ofcourse grow in the future.. DUH). He flat out says, its not even worth answering the phone for that. How friendly is that? Small or big, is that how you treat potential customers?

I use them and he's been cool so far. Why are you looking for $10 a month? Their cheapest plan is only $15.00. lol

Because im a cheap bastard.. I already pay a lot for a dedicated somewhere else and this is for something new im trying.. ;)

Oh well.. if I was really happy with em I coulda always moved over my other stuff some day.. ;)

I would but my dedicated sometimes gets bogged down at times when I get a lot of traffic.. I don't want to have to worry about it with this new project and it doesnt require more than like 10-20 gigs a month at the moment.

He gets all his servers from www.rackshack.net for 99.00 and resells them for 250.00, but hey business is business, we are all out here to make money :-)

Actually very friendly and available, i considered using them. They told me resellers buy from them, that they are not resellers. (can anyone disprove this? they are still on my list for a place to have a back up server). Hell i wouldnt andwer the phone for $10, but they are definitely friendly.

I love the attitudes of some of the people here. Small business could end up turning into something a lot bigger down the road. Morons.

or he's got servers in his living room

I've know Tom who runs AFH for a while and he's a good guy. If he's willing to answer his phone in the shower to do business, and you start trying to cut his prices down, you should probably expect he wouldn't be so happy about it. Anyhow, yes I believe he does use rackshack servers. But the difference is he supplies managed hosting, which you won't get from rackshack. I've been running some of my sites on rackshack for over 7 months now with no problems, so no need to get to condescending about them either. I think it's funny though that people would even bother posting a thread like this on GFY.
