I sort of disregarded their play against the Dolphins, because, well, it's the Dolphins. But the Eagles defense seems to be man-handling the Jets so far today.

Has the Eagles defense finally pulled its collective head out of its collective ass, or do the Jets suck that bad?

I mean, in the first five Jets possessions, 3 turnovers, two punts. Sanchez has also been sacked 3 times.

Save me the "Eagles suck" comments. I just want a fair analysis of either the Jets offense or the Eagles defense as it has performed in the last game or two.

Just having a good day... Won't do a post season so it is all moot.

As retarded as it is, I'm still hoping they win out, Cowboys lose out, and Giants split their remaining two games to give the Eagles the NFC East title. I know they'll fall in the playoffs; but I hate seeing them not even make it.

I'm biased, but after today's blow-out of the Jets, I'm thinking this is the way the Eagles defense was supposed to be playing all season long. Leave it Philly to wait until there's only three games left to play with some heart and determination. :disgust

Sure I'm pissed off at some of the choices they've made, the way they've play for the majority of this season, but I'm seeing signs of them playing like the team they should be, not the team they're record indicates. Of course I'm going to root for any slim chance they have of making the playoffs.

i wouldnt draw conclusions about the eagles D. The jets offensive line has been bad all year, & mark sanchez does not make good decisions under pressure.

However it also seems that the team chemistry is finally starting to come together. I will LMAO if they make the playoffs after all this shit.

I actually see making the playoffs as somewhat likely. They need to win their final two, and simply have the Giants lose to the Jets, then the Giants beat the Cowboys, both very possible. And with only the Cowboys and Redskins left on the Eagles schedule, winning out is seeming more likely than it did before today.

I would ROFLMAO if they not only made the playoffs, but went the whole way to the Superbowl.

I'm just glad next weeks game vs the Cowgirls on Xmas eve actually still means something. We've owned the Ryan Bros this yr so I think we have a chance, and as long as theyve got Romo, they are always fully capable of snatching defeats from the clutches of victory. Now as for all of the other pieces of the required scenario falling into place, well, it happened in 2008 for us, didnt it? I know what you mean about just wanting them to make the playoffs, although had to get excited because theyll be nothing more than Packer fodder if they did make it there. This will be the season of what should/could have been....only if we could have won that Falcons/Giants/Bears/Cardinals/49ers/Seahawks game. Should have won them all to be honest. Have never seen a team beat itelf as many times in one season as this team has.

It was a case of "any given Sunday"... Texans lost, Packers lost, Ravens lost, Titans lost, all should have won and the Jets/Eagles should have been closer since they are both average teams at best.
