Photoshop help needed. I have a PSD, but I can't change the txt in some layers

Hi,

I have received a PSD file from someone, and I want to change some txt in it.

It is created in Adobe PS 7, and I have that as well( I had 6 legal version, but that didn't work, so I tried it with 7 as well)

The layers is called for example logotxthere.com and when I click this, I can only change the glow/bevel and layer name, but I can't find how I can change the txt. Is there anyone who have suggestions?

The layer is probably rasterized.. hence it cannot be changed. I don't think you can un-rasterize a layer.

stupid typo

Nope - you cannot use the text tool on a rasterized layer.

If the layer has a big T in it, it signifies a text layer. Anything else is rasterized.

yeah, what they said. :)

Wrong.
Go under the History tab & return the rasterised type layer to its original state.
Easy.

if you see "T" icon next to selected text layer, then its changable, just select Type tool and edit text right on working area, if there is no "T" icon on the layer then it means that text have been rasterized and you cannot modify it after that point.

hope it helps

Yeah. Great. You also lose all filter effects used. Why not just write it again then? I think that's not what he wanted to do.

LOL, battle of the designers.

perhaps what you want to do is align the isotopical line permitters in a collinear fashion so that the rasterized text can have a layer duplicated to a mockery of an actual true type layer.

Thnx all, then I have to delete the layer, and try to make something simliar.

Thnx for the replies.

BTW there was no hsitory to go back in that layer
