If the election was held today. Paul or Obama

Guess undocumented aliens can vote too, but let's see what American's think. You can voice your opinion, but please leave voting to those old enough to vote,

Republicans have Paul and the best running mate you could possibly hope for vs Obama and Biden.

Who do you vote for?

CDSmith 12-22-2011 11:33 PM

On a side note I find it tres interesting that both of these candidates are individuals that many people on this board over the past 5 years have posted unoquivocally: "He'll never be president" , some dozens of times more than others in fact.

As I've said in response equally dozens of times to those same people: "Never say never."

K, carry on...

StickyGreen 12-22-2011 11:37 PM

Isn't it common sense that most people in the porn industry identify themselves with the Democrat party and as "liberals?"

This poll is obviously most likely to go Obama's way. What is your point here?

glamourmodels 12-22-2011 11:45 PM

You may be right but the real reason that Obama is scared of Paul being the GOP nominee is that Congressman Paul does very well with Independents and Democrats.

I dont fall into a neat left-right category but on individual issues I am actually more liberal than not and I support Paul so I think you will be surprised as to the depth of Paul's support outside the GOP.

Sticky is whining and Paul has a 3:1 lead. Amazing.

You make some good points.

I would also probably be considered more liberal than conservative when it comes down to it, yet I still definitely support Ron Paul.

I don't think it will make any difference.

Ron Paul. I agree with not all, but enough of his ideas. But more importantly because I truly believe that he truly believes in the things he says. That makes him different than 99% of all US politicians who are nothing more than mouthpiece whores for the interests that funded their campaigns.

It also makes him completely unelectable because the things he stands for threaten some major vested interests like, for example, the banking industry & the military/industrial complex. That said, a thread like this makes for some ok mental masturbation, but that's about it.

hope you've been doing well BD :)

$5 submissions 12-23-2011 02:17 AM

Uh let me see...

Vote for a guy who wants to keep digging the debt hole and maintain a massive overseas military presence the US can't afford. Plus, he wants to keep up the racist drug wars that are just making the CO unions fat...

OR vote for a guy who actually wants to cut government down to size, treat people like grownups, and break the Entitlement Mentality that is destroying the US' fiscal health...

Such a tough decision...

(NOT REALLY)

I'm not an American, but... given the topic of the poll, does it really mean there are Americans who would give Obama a vote... again?

You mean as opposed to a Republican?? Republicans that rack up the deficit and debt more than Democrats "usually" do? Republicans that write laws that remove regulations leading to things like the current financial disaster, Enron and so many others? Republicans who's backdoor policy is that deficits don't matter and that we can fuck things up and leave it to democrats to fix so we can then point out how bad things are under them and then win the next election (and yes, that's exactly what at least some republican strategists have said.. Why do you think the current congress doesn't want to get anything done)?

Over the last 31 years, there has been a Republican President for 20 of those years... The deficit and debt has skyrocketed. GDP, despite what they all would like people to believe, averages out around 3%-3.5% regardless of who's in office and how many taxes they cut or raise... Seriously.. If cutting taxes that the republicans use to get votes actually worked, there should be fantastic GDP numbers, huge job growth, a growing middle class etc etc etc when they have their way.. They cut so many taxes under Bush but where was that fantastic growth? The booming economy? Jobs for everyone? A growing middle class? Sadly, what the republicans promote doesn't give the results they say it will.

Consider that under Clinton, the deficit/debt shrank. They had balanced budgets. They had a "surplus" when Bush won.. Taxes were higher. The economy was doing great. So yeah... History has shown that Republicans are definitely the way to go.

Having said that, none of them are all that great and both sides could fuck things up but overall Democrats have a slight edge as far as I'm concerned given the history. And yeah, Obama ain't no Clinton that's for sure.

spazlabz 12-23-2011 05:06 AM

I would hold my nose and vote for Obama. I like Ron Paul on like a personal level but I strongly disagree with the libertarian agenda.

glamourmodels 12-23-2011 06:27 AM

Coming from an admitted anarchist who wants to abolish all forms of government, why would you care either way? You are full of shit kid.

Obama 10 29.41%
Paul 24 70.59%

Ron Paul #Winning

Redrob 12-23-2011 06:40 AM

Without knowing Paul's VP (remember he is old and the VP could be the next President), I would stick with what I know.

I don't think Obama has been terrible for the adult industry and a real improvement over Bush.

So far in this election cycle not much is being said about Ron Pauls age. He is a year older than John McCain.

Ron Pauls temperment has not been tested at all given the media blackout. Bad sign that he walked out on CNN. i like the ideals he brings. But like obama experienced, DC is a hard nut to change. Need a steady hand during these unsteady times. Black man gets the nod.

KingNigel 12-23-2011 09:27 AM

Ron Paul.

BFT3K 12-23-2011 09:30 AM

Ron Paul's official chance of becoming president in 2012: ZERO :1orglaugh

The Obama haters love him though, so I hope he stays in the race all the way through the election.

Every Obama hater voting for Ron Paul is a huge help for Obama, as it is one less vote for Romney.

Go Go Ron Paul!

That's what I thought. I found that especially on other boards, that's not the case as often as I thought. I wonder if it has anything to do with Clinton trying over and over to censor porn with COPA, CDA, and CDA II.

If you liked McCain but thought there might be some legitimate health concerns, his choice of VP is an important consideration. It would be much less concerning for example if McCain's choice was Huckabee, than it was that he chose Palin.

I wonder who Ron Paul would have chosen for a running mate. Rand? Jesse? lol.

On GFY, the health concern was always age. I think the true concern was his obvious inability to make intelligent decisions.

As far as a running mate for Paul, I have been asking that question a lot lately and Ventura's name keeps popping up. Paul's fan bois don't realize he would be Paul's Palin if he ever made it that far.

He obviously can't pick his son, Not sure how his fans feel about that.
