Sweet! I will eventually break down and get one of these for medical purposes only.

JFK 12-30-2011 05:22 PM

from your previous descriptions, it sounds like a much improved product. Best of luck with it:thumbsup

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 12-30-2011 06:39 PM

Most handheld vaporizers suck, but your model looks promising. I'll have to check it out when it hits the market... :thumbsup

Good luck!

In the meantime, I'll have to keep using my not so portable Volcano:

I know whenever I use a volcano, I couldn't care less about portability. I'm not going anywhere for a while.

The problem with a lot of portable vaporizers is they use butane and a lot of times, use inferior internal parts. They also lack ability to set your own temperature, so you're kind of at the whim of the unit. We're lucky in that one of our engineers is a top battery designer, so was able to do a lot more with less space.

Thanks, we're really excited about it. We really wanted to have production done end of January, but changed a few things with the hinge to make it more durable and a couple battery tweaks.

Are you having these directly & uniquely manufactured for yourself? If you are, I'd really like to talk about a few things. I'll be at ASW, but feel free to reach out on facebook prior.

Fletch XXX 01-03-2012 05:52 AM

how long do they last? Ive had vaporizers burn out on me after 1 week. These things need to be tested for at least 3 years of daily use. Most vaporizers burn out and complete waste of money for people who smoke daily LOL

Have been using vapes for a looong time and at this moment have 2 non working and 1 working LOL

Yes, the co-owner of our company is building a factory for the sole purpose of manufacturing this device and soon, a family of them. Our patent on the product is pending.

This one is battery powered and not butane powered like most vaporizers. We're running simulator tests at the factory now. Studying how long they last, the hinges on the door, drop tests, etc.

No sir
it is for whatever use the recipient wishes to use. We do not advocate one way or the other. They can be used for tobacco (like a hookah), aromatherapy, for people who have medicinal needs, etc.

Why 01-03-2012 02:34 PM

Vaporizers are an uphill battle but a good "emerging market", good luck with it!

i personally have never used one that was worth its cost. handheld, portable or otherwise, never had an awesome experience, aside from a Volcano that warranted switching to one. Plus the extra cost, charging it, buying batteries, waiting for it to heat up, etc.

Ill buy another one once the heat is instant ON and someone else buys one for me to demo and prove its worth the cost. its a hard market to crack with all the poor quality over priced products giving the good ones a bad name,

yeah, there are a lot of inferior products out there.
While there are some good ones too, volcano and I've heard good about iolite and topflight.

Instant on probably won't happen, but with new technologies emerging, you never know. Ours is about 30-60 seconds to heat up, depending what temp you're setting.

It's why this product was originally going to hit in November, but got pushed back. We've found little improvements and a couple battery innovations to give us a better quality product and not some cheapie chinese-made plastic piece of crap...

st0ned 01-04-2012 08:48 PM

Does it have a name yet? If I remember correctly "Dragon" or whatever was scraped?

Is it called the "Karma"?

I purchased the Magic Flight and the Vapir Air One, and didn't like either one.

My biggest complaint is that neither delivered consistent temperature.

The glass parts on the Magic Flight are easily breakable, there are too many parts, and I don't like having to hold the battery in during the charge.

The Vapir one has to be plugged in, the chamber is small, and it is not easy to handle.

Again the biggest problem for both is the inconsistency in the temperature.

As cannabis becomes legal in more States, and awareness increases about vaping as a a healthier alternative to smoking marijuana, the vaporizer market should really explode (look how much money people already spend on pipes, bongs, and other paraphernalia, and you get the idea).

I further submit that vaping saves money as well, since you can feel the affects using less, there is less waste between hits, you can inhale at your own pace, and you can use your vaped cannabis to make delicious edibles that can be consumed just about anywhere. :2 cents:

Baking with vaporized weed is easy!

As big fans of vaporizers as an investment in your health, we also really support the use of edibles to disseminate marijuana. Baking some delicious goodies and enjoying them with friends is one of our favorite afternoon activities.

It?s always funny the first time someone has our brownies and then finds out that we made them out of already vaporized pot. Try it about an hour in, once they?re starting to feel lit, and you?ll get a lot of giggles and high fives.. at least that?s what happens to us : ? ).

Using vaporized weed in your baking is very simple. Once you?ve vaporized your marijuana until it?s brown and time for replacement, you can just drop it into a container and collect it.

Depending on your vaporizing frequency, you?ll build up a nice stash of vaporized weed in a month or so. At the point when you have 2 grams or more, you?ll begin thinking about making some pot brownies or other baked goods.

At this point, all you have to do is to use the vaporized material just as you would fresh material. It won?t be as potent as the fresh material, but we?ve found that it retains a lot of efficacy, nonetheless. We?ve experimented with using both fresh and vaporized weed to make brownies and put together a bit of a chart for you for rough guidance.

I've made quick and dirty brownies by just throwing in my finely ground vaped cannabis, and they were delicious. Getting ready to make another batch tonight that should last for a few weeks.

I know there's still SOMETHING left in the vaped bud afterward but I usually just throw mine out, because I'm not smoking that shit?

How many grams of vaped bud (high grade) do you need for the average brownie recipe? When I make brownies I use a full oz (28g) of reggie (dirt weed). 5g of vaped bud even if it was high grade is not going to do anything at all. The chart you posted is 5g of high grade + 5g of vaped? I think 5g of high grade would be sufficient in a brownie batch, although I've never made brownies with high grade. Regardless, the vaped stuff probably doesn't contribute much at all there, but I guess it could help.

I'd like to try making brownies with high grade but I stick to what I know has worked for me. An oz of dirt weed is about the same price as 5g of high grade for me. But I've always been told if I'm going to make a batch with high grade bud then I need at least a quarter (7g), which costs more.

Interesting, in researching vaping forums, the magicflight gets pretty decent reviews. Glad to hear we might have an edge over them.

That's what sets us apart too is the ability to hold temp and set temp according to the material in your vaporizer....and no glass. ..we feel that by giving the user the ability to set their own temp and by not using butane, there is a greater level of control as well as a "cleaner" burn.

We've found one obstacle with being pocketsized is the compartment space, but if you're vaping, you don't need as much.

As for the name, we did indeed scrape the Dragon name and will be announcing the official name next week after a few more trademarks are buttoned up.
