Is that all you have to legally do in the US for text marketing? Shiiiiiit. In the UK we have to put EVERYTHING about the rates, how to cancel, physical address, all sorts of stuff

Why don't more people do premium SMS over there?

We do not charge a fee, the fee is if you get charged for a text to your girlfriend you would get charged a fee for this as well.

Premium SMS is when you send SMS you get charged a dollar instead 5 cents which is usual price.

Everything related to Mobile in the USA is usually 3-4-5 years behind Europe. In that particular case, we are even more behind.

Here you can, say, get single drop premium SMS where you will be charged 15 bucks for receiving the text. So you could join a website via premium text. And it can rebill too.

Shame! One of my clients here makes about 75% of their revenue from phone payments. Either people don't have a credit card, or it's maxed, or they don't want wife to see the statement, all sorts of reasons.

Damian... pass by OVH. Most of the spammers over here do. Register a premium rate line (0899), link that to your server running asterisk that will give out a code and add the code to mysql. Bingo - you are your own micro-biller.

Add to that their SMS package and say bye bye to email spam and bienvenue to SMS spam. Take up a few hundred telephone lines, all linked to your server and randomly pick them out to auto-sms.

Not that I advocate spamming :error
