oron - pornbb.org?

With all the talk about file sharing and speculation why is nobody talking about the ones that we can say are a sure thing rather then play guessing games..

Like : Oron.com - pornbb.org

Feds have been notified thanks to your post. Without GFY... I have no idea what would happen.

This industry is spineless. A filesharing solution owning pornBB which has dedicated sections to piracy is 10X more blatant than what MU did. No one will do shit about it and they will stay up indefinitely.

Have fun.

signupdamnit 01-26-2012 02:45 PM

Kind of funny that you don't like people posting old whois records of filesonic showing a connection to the old Brazzers but here you are talking about Oron and their whois.
From what I heard Oron bought PornBB some time back. The rabbit hole might go deeper than that but that is all I know.

It's probably owned by one of the major sponsors here. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

My point is more that people seem more interested in grasping at straws with old whois data from god knows how many years back, random post from years and years ago. To make connections of site A to site be B..

And the ones that are known, plain as day to see and require no guess work just get a pass or swept under the rug.

In this case we have a file sharing and storage service owning a board that gives users links to download content they know they don't own the rights to.. some may say a small conflict of interest with this practise. Well this known and easy to post issue gets a pass, people spend hours hunting andposting about possible other A/B connection based on flimsy info that is almost as old as the internet itself.

they bought a few porn boards and has been known for awhile now. even the east indian uploaders talk about it.

If you want to take down Oron then I'm behind you all the way. Let's just leave it at that.

Data that is less then 12 months old taken right before the last Whois update where the info was hidden vs 6 year old... Not exactly the same thing here...

1 is more of a guess where the other is proof and as such I wont be seeing someone trying to ban me for it or asking for proof that its still a fact. *one I'm sure I'm not the first to talk about seeing as Fris mentions this not a month ago..

Hire 10,000 of them to upload warez, music and movies to Oron, then have them flood the earth with the links.

It's unlikely anyone will be able to take them down in one shot but I've observed that the decent people in the industry grossly underestimate their power. Even an elephant can be taken down with a few cuts to it's leg. All it takes is a PR disaster here and there and you can set off a chain reaction. Look what happened to MediaRevenue. If certain information gets to the authorities it could mean the final nail in the coffin for a scumbag company.

One thing for sure is that sitting back and doing nothing only helps the scumbags. It's why we have what we have right now. Don't be afraid. Don't think the other guy will do it. Do something and yours may be the final cut which helps to drop the beast.

Robbie 01-26-2012 03:08 PM

Face facts gentlemen, megaupload had tons of mainstream pirated material.

The government doesn't want to help us.

Fuck where the rabbit hole goes. :1orglaugh No one is doing anything about it so why spend time looking for more dirt?

I'm not going to send paypal emails or any of the other insignificant bullshit ideas people come up with.

There is a process that the copyright holders have to do to enforce their copyrights. If they're too fucking lazy to do it, there is not much else you can do.

You can find out the owner of Oron is Osama's brother in law living across the street from you, it won't change a thing.

Yup.

All it takes is 15-20 copyright holders to go after them for infringement. All the evidence is there. It takes time and some money though,

Instead, Oron laughs while they instruct their uploaders to upload 1000s of terabytes of copyrighted porn.

That is why I went after the Filesonic-Old Brazzers connection. Someone provided a record of a public conversation between aXXo and "Bosco". Shit like that will be the kind of stuff which causes the government to strike at the scumbags. Unless we're lucky and someone actually decides to enforce all copyrights and help us out. The ironic thing is that now the top of the industry is mostly controlled by these scumbags. So some might look at wiping out the pirate companies as HURTING porn, not helping it. :1orglaugh It's sad but I must laugh.

Finally, you're getting it.

mikesouth 01-26-2012 04:57 PM

OK guys y'all clearly don't get how politics works. Megaupload would still be un-indicted if SOPA had passed.

The politicians had to throw a condolence fuck to hollywood and megaupload was ready, so DC pulled the trigger. Megaupload wasn't big with porn uploaders but when it came to hollywood movies they were arguably the biggest.

Its all in the timing....we are experiencing some trickle down at the moment.
