Web Designers / Coders - What do you use?
 

I'm looking for a replacement for Dreamweaver to edit my sites and code.

I also use Notepad ++, but I'm looking for something more.

What have you had good luck with or love to use?

Dreamweaver 3.0 or just Notepad

vim. Takes forever to learn, but it sure is powerful.

i own adobe creative suite, and i dont think ive ever opened dreamweaver, its still highlighted as new, after almost 2 years

Notepad++ / Emacs. Hate Wysiwyg's.

I use Linux VI.

I work on Linux. This is what I use:

console -> vim, mcedit, jed (not jedit. here is the url: http://www.jedsoft.org/jed/ )
GUI --> zend studio (v5.5 because new versions suck), jedit and in very rare cases, eclipse.

a few that i've used / liked:

phpStorm, sublime text 2, notepad++

Coda
pico/nano

I just use dreamweaver most of the time.

Coldfusion builder is nice too but I am assuming you are using php.
I think it's pretty much Eclipse, which you may like.

I think I used notepad ++ when I was in college a while ago doing some kind of software programming courses i think? I don't remember if that was it but it did the job.

moved off dreamweaver to notepad++ about a year ago.

Textpad is all I use. Color codes, validates and provides lots of cross-reference tools for coding anything from html to php to javascript. Search and replace functionality is top notch too.

Textmate or Coda on Mac and UltraEdit on Windows (don't know if they also have a mac app)

Is codeigniter old school?
Sorry if it is, lol like i said most of my work is done in coldfusion.
The only php I do is when I create wp themes and I just use dw cs5.
