It is still indeed in maintenance but the current clock is 1 hour and 35 minutes. Not 5 days.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We are upgrading our login security. Login is currently down for this maintenance but as soon as our login is back up your temporary password will work.

Please bear with us while we complete this login security upgrade. Thanks!

notes for next time.

Don't upgrade on a Friday when everybody is doing business and banking. Then don't send them an email them saying they need to reset their pass when they can't even login to do it. Wait until you have finished the upgrade before you send emails out.

If I didn't know any better, this would look like a government operation...

nickutis 02-10-2012 08:40 PM

wow, password reset.. Does that mean there was a security breach?

Thanks for your suggestions and feedback, we appreciate it.

Account security is one of our primary concerns, and as such from time to time we upgrade our features in order to provide the most secure platform we can. This is simply a security upgrade and is not government related in any way. Thanks!

Thanks for your concern. Since we will now be using an even more secure login platform, all previous passwords have been reset for all accounts. This is simply standard procedure in order to switch all Paxum clients to the new upgraded secure login platform.

I'm not sure where you are from, but here in the US when somebody makes fun of something that is obviously fucked up from an organizational standpoint, we say if we didn't know any better...it must be a government operation. I'm quite sure your have a similar saying where you are from.

V_RocKs 02-10-2012 09:19 PM

Time stamp...

02:22
+01:35
-------
!= 04:19 ?

Every time I wait and it runs out it adds more time... Now it is 43 minutes...

05:02 ?

Thought it was supposed to be done at 03:57?

That is a meaningless response. It seems like you are trying to avoiding answering the question.

You were asked whether there was a security breach.

Was there a security breach, or not???

evulvmedia 02-10-2012 09:35 PM

from Paxum.com's login page:

INFINITY!

How very e-passporte-ish!

Sorry, I'm from England and Canada.. I guess I just didn't get it. Thanks for the explanation! :thumbsup

Unfortunately it is taking a bit longer than we first anticipated. We do apologize for the delay and we're working as diligently as possible to get things back online ASAP. :thumbsup

I wasn't avoiding any question, sorry for giving you that impression. No we did not have a security breach, we are simply fortifying our existing security features since there is something new and better available. We strive to provide the securest platform possible, and that means the occasional upgrade such as now. :)

Please go back to the main index page of Paxum and then freshly click Secure Log In. This will give you the current countdown rather than timing out. Thanks for your concern, but this is simply a login security upgrade. :)

evulvmedia 02-10-2012 09:45 PM

Something smells like ePassporte in here.

Did Chris Mallick just fart...

V_RocKs 02-10-2012 09:53 PM

Don't think they got hacked... No need to start a rumor...

And yes... Even banks make you switch the password when they switch platforms... Ensures that only secured accounts make it in... or helps to anyways...

Chase did the same thing to me about 2 years ago when they upgraded to having a number in your username.

V_RocKs 02-10-2012 09:55 PM

In the future... Do these kinds of things at 2am on a Sunday... Most everyone is sleeping... Including me!

Best-In-BC 02-10-2012 10:04 PM

Poor timing

harvey 02-10-2012 10:12 PM

I can see the form is connected to http://seal.godaddy.com/ now, which is really strange, but guess they must be testing things out or something

me neither, now what to do?!

Edit: Looks like if you submit the form without it they email it to you and you can then resubmit the form again with it.

mine didn't work either, but when I entered it automatically got an email with a new key, and that one worked fine :2 cents:

vdbucks 02-11-2012 12:23 AM

Please just admit you guys fucked up somewhere along the line and got hacked. Trust me on this... you won't look as retarded in the end.

Not to mention, people who trust their money with you have an absolute right to know if their funds are not secure...

vdbucks 02-11-2012 12:25 AM

And for the love of christ.. never fucking send plain text passwords via email... That's what encoded urls are for.

You people need to fire your 'security' people and hire a team that knows wtf they are doing.

journalism 02-11-2012 01:45 AM

It seems these people are not listening to our concern are these guys are just here to promote paxum and does not provide any customer service? LOL

Few days ago my paxum account was hacked, somebody transfered more than 2k from my account.

I don't have fucking idea how they did that. It was unique password, approval code protection..

Still no message from their fraud support team... and now this security update? WTF

How would an "encoded url" in an email message have made any difference?

Klen 02-11-2012 03:30 PM

Funny but before few days dating gold also did same, but at least they did it properly by simply when login to require password change and not sending it to your mail.

journalism 02-22-2012 09:29 PM

Ruth!

How about putting PDF file or a formal Statement Of Account each account like prepaid card and checking it seems your guys are getting lazy installing this and you are earning 100's of dollars everyday now its time you guys to install a formal statement of account like ePass, Payoneer and etc!
