those who buy from Fiverr & Extra Lunch Money...
 

I've been considering selling some services on Fiverr & Extra Lunch Money but I'm looking for some insight first.
For whose who have bought from both or either site... What is it you look for in a seller? Aside from reputation (as I have none on both sites currently)... what makes you go 'yes, you'.
I'm basically going to be selling writing services... Although, if you guys have specific things you're looking for and would be interested in seeing for sale on either of those sites, I'm completely up for hearing 'em. lol never know when something might be needed that I can do.

I buy several per day from Fiverr. I look for a clear, concise message. Meaning something written in American/British English that quickly says what the service is:
* I will write you a 400-600 word original article in English on any topic
For example

That's almost as important as the reputation.

I like the short videos that explain what they are offering.
I'm too fucking lazy to read all their bullshit.

How much writing will you do for 5.00?

I do any-ting you want.... 15 dolla.

Max is 500 words but even that depends on what it is you're wanting me to write. Penny a word is a little lower than I normally run but if it's interesting work I'll make it happen.

I was figuring I'd throw out various ideas when setting up gigs - making profiles, blog posts, articles, success stories, comments, etc.

For a while I was doing a lot of short 100 - 125 word 1st person anecdotes people used for linking. Haven't done those in a while but would love to find more of that work too.

You've got competition who will write at very low rates and to be frank the quality is good. I get a lot written. To be competitive you need to do something that adds a little "bonus" to the pot. Otherwise you may never get enough orders to get any visibility.

Am I mistaken or don't sellers only get $4 of the $5 per gig? I thought I had seen that when looking into them before and have been wondering why everyone I see talking about making money on Fiverr treats it as if there's no commission.

they take a buck. the owners must be making a fortune.

If you are american put that in there and if you're a professional or have some education I'd put that on there too.

i havent offered any services through it but yeah should be called fourer since they take a dollar and you get paid 2 weeks AFTER you provide service LOL

work now, make 4 dollars two weeks from now, sounds awesome! and people wonder why the people providing services disappear on them? hah

I don't know, the more I look into it it's a bit of a turn off.
Extra Lunch Money takes more than that.....100 credits to cash out only becomes $65. (when you buy credits they're 100 for $100).
Eh, I might just stick to other things....or if I do try out these other sites, do it for services other than writing.
