Thoughts on .ME ext

What are your thoughts on the .ME extension? Do you own any .ME domains? I just bought our 1st and only one as it fit for the project, but I am curious as to what others have done with or thought about this extension.

I find typewith.me very effective with consultants who send a ton of emails

a lot of VC money is going into sites on .ME
so this one has legs to stand on

That's what I've come to understand as well. Today was the 1st time I experienced the desire to own something other than a .com (thus the .Me) on a domain as the preferred extension.

I know some of the big boys have them, like WP.me, FB.me and Go.me, but that was about it. Now that I am looking I am seeing lots of interesting things out there.

Just wondering if anyone was using them, especially in adult. Anyone aware of any porn stars or such using .me as opposed to the .com or god forbid the .xxx?

I did have my webcam reviews site on youdeserve.me - also I'm using that as my main mail address - and nothing special happened there, some sales there and here, but doesn't seemed special in any sense at all. As my hosting company lost all of my databases back then, I was lazy to rebuilt the site from backups - so now just redirecting traffic from there :)

I find it interesting that at least .me does not seem to have any bad rap that I can tell throughout the online realm. Unlike .mobi, .info or some of the other just bad flops, and unlike .xxx which just came across as sleazy (regardless of the target market) and unwanted by a whole community, .Me seems to actually have a pleasant reputation.

.Me does not seem to offer anything super special, or bring anything super negative either. Just actually seems to be an extension that might be functional as well as 'socially acceptable'.

How does google like .me thats the main question that I'd like to know before launching a site on it.

I had heard that since it was an extension for Montenegro it would rank for users there similar to how a .ca ranks in Canada.

I am not sure if that is true or there have been exceptions made because .me is unique in that people all over the world register .me compared to only Canadians being able to register a .ca.

I do have now 3 .info sites with daily 2-3 thousand google hits and in the bottom 100.000 alexa. So I never knew what's wrong with that TLD, never experienced.

Whilst my site was up (youdeserve.me) , I was kind'a good ranked for chaturbate keywords, which ended up getting daily 5-6 - non buyer so 0$ worth - sign ups.
