Just installed TGPX... Now what?

Hello all! I'm new to the community here at gfy and also new to the biz. I've been interested in running porn sites for a couple of years and decided to go for it. I have 8 years of web development experience. I spend the past few years running a software development company where I delivered custom web software to businesses large and small. I'm incredibly familiar with custom coding, html, css, and all things web including hosting, etc. A few clients had approached me in the past asking for my advice on running porn sites because they had heard a few people they work with do it and make a decent side-income. This intrigued me so after a while I decided I'm going to go for it. I did some research on the industry and I'm having a slightly difficult time putting it all together. My main objective is to make money with Affiliate Signups where the content I provide on my site is *not* hosted on my server. I want to run a few TGP sites and maybe a few blogs. I can do all the web-development necessary, custom templating, none of that is an issue. I'm just not familiar with the business, the lingo, the steps, the good sponsors, the good affiliates, link sharing, traffic sharing, the whole thing. I've looked for guides but there are none. I found this forum and realized this has got to be the place to get answers. Does any one have any advice/resources for a new guy ready to dive into the business? I'd be greatly appreciative of any of your help/time.

As far as your original question: http://www.jmbsoft.com/docs/tgpx/1.1.x/first-steps.html

As far as everything else: https://gfy.com/search.php & http://google.com

Thanks so much for the fast reply! I've already performed the post-installation steps. The steps I was referring to was, where do I begin requesting content? How do I signup as an affiliate for Sponsors? How does it all work? Basically, how do I go from a fresh-install of TGPX to making my first sale from an affiliate signup on a remote site that originated from my site? I don't even know where to begin but I've got a lot of ambition and drive. I'd just like for someone to "show me the ropes", essentially.

These newbies keep getting dumber and lazier every year.

Newbies: Take some initiative, learn to use a search engine (e.g. Google), and understand that nobody here wants you to succeed. For you to succeed means that we'll have more competition someday. We're better off if you fail miserably.

So what is the point of this forum? When I did a search I found this forum...

You can do a forum search, there's plenty of information already posted about TGPX.

I don't see his question as irrelevant, as I too have/had this problem. In fact its probably a great opportunity for a blogger to dive into. Good Noob guides are hard to find.

Do you really think a noob will harm you much in your business if you are established? unless he/she has a few thousands to spend into advertising/SEO/backlinks, you ll probably retired before he makes as much as you do.

the point of gfy is the same as any other forum... it's mostly for light banter between people with similar interests while a vocal minority actively seeks out opportunities (like this one) to be condescending dicks

kingdezign 04-09-2012 08:07 AM

just keep searching here, thread and post
about your concern

after you setup your site
look for good sponsor
then start looking for site to make a link trade
and always hang here to learn more

Speaking of newbies, I loved your "OMG I HAVE A GREAT IDEA!!! I'm going to create a free blog host for adult blogs. I can't believe it has never been done before!!!111oneoneone" thread. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Classic. :thumbsup

I never said it was a great or a new idea, I was just asking about how much advertising is too much. I'll admit that I should have made the connection between the old Wordpress MU (Sensualwriter) and today's Wordpress Network which are both more or less the same thing.
