Sub Orbital Space flights, check it out
suborbital space flights (or flights to the edge of space) starting in 2014. And you can book a flight right now if you have $9,500 to spare.
Sounds like a reasonable cost for the trip although it's only a 1/2 an hour, I would consider taking it, if it becomes a reality. :thumbsup Sounds a bit more affordable than the Virgin Galactic flights I been reading about. Yes I know, they are full space flights. http://www.tecca.com/news/2011/09/20...-flights-2014/ |
looks interesting. someone said it was actually $95,000 not $9,500 so I guess we will see soon. $9,500 is a good price considering the weightlessness experience.

So why cant we go directly into space?

Who's going to pay Carribbean people to take them into space? I don't even trust them driving a taxi.

I'd try that at one point in life.

SO how high does the Virgin craft go compared to this one?

have been in their beta flight yesterday, not bad
|
So who will sign up to be the first tourist to die in space?
|
I wanted to be an astronaut when I was younger but once I exceeded the height requirements at an early age, all dreams were shattered. Porn was the most logical choice after that, so here I am. But I still dream of someday going into space.
I'm going to hold out for an affordable total space flight. Maybe by the time I'm 50 (in 10 years) that will be an affordable reality. |
JESUS CHRIST! After I posted that it just hit me that I'm going to be fucking 50 years old in only 10 years.
Day ruined. Catch you guys later. |

here are a couple of links to Virgin Galactic's flight
http://www.spacenews.com/venture_spa...exemption.html its int the body of the above link, but how fucking ridiculous can you get:2 cents: "New Mexico-based Virgin Galactic, which now expects to fly its first paying customers in 2013, was told by the U.S. government that the company may fly non-U.S. citizens to the edge of space without first obtaining an export license from the State Department." "Sundahl said that without this determination from State, allowing a non-U.S. citizen to ride in a Virgin spacecraft ? or even training a non-U.S. citizen to do so ? would legally have been an export activity that required federal approval.":1orglaugh http://www.canadianbusiness.com/arti...for-space-ride http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...12+HUG20120411 There ya go space cadets:pimp |
Hahaha, how do you will they find a commodity value and tax ID code for a human!?
|
Call me after they log a few hundred flight hours and no passengers are killed in the vacuum of space.
|
Not worth it to me... Would rather spend a week or two in the Bahamas...
|
Flight booked, thanks for the link!
