webair and curl
 

anyone have any issues with webair hosting and curl?

this one plugin for wordpress uses curl to grab the youtube thumbnail, it works on my server, but not on webair.

anyone have any ideas?

Load php info to see is it php compiled with curl.

ya it is, script works on my server, and locally, but not on this webair shared server

change the script to use file_get_contents()?

Could be lack of GD and JPEG support compiled with PHP,but problem is with such environments where you dont have control is too hard to fix problem even if tech are willing to cooperate.

install imagemagick and/or GD-Library support

there is a precompiled -fget for it, i have it somewhere, icq me if you need it.

my bad wp wasnt writing the uploads dir like it should, works now

ya wp_remote_fopen does that first, then curl as a fallback, like i said wp wasnt creating the uploads dir, reason why it wasnt working.

95% script problems are permission problem,if something not working always check permissions first :)

EDIT: Sorry. I didn't read that it is ow working :-)
